The best restaurants serving French food in South East

I really can only say good things about Charlie's food, perfect timing and left our kitchen and everything used cleaner than when he arrived! (To be clear, Marriotts come to you, it's not a restaurant...)

We only called in for a drink and to check the menu for a future visit. The staff were very helpful and the service was good. It's a dog friendly pub and during our visit there were some very friendly dogs.

Perfect atmosphere, perfect staff and perfect food! We could not fault this restaurant, the staff were friendly and attentive. We had a great time here. Will definitely be returning!!

El peor lugar para tener una fiesta. Inicialmente los gerentes que ayudamos y complaciente vienen el día de la fiesta que tenían restricciones en todo - la comida se sirvió tan rápido que querían que terminara antes de que pudiera comenzar. Si era como si tuviéramos tu dinero ahora come y vete, los niños no podían jugar o correr por ahí o tenían un problema con los globos, los gerentes son groseros, lo que pone una decepción en un día muy especial. Ojalá hubiera reservado algo más. Qué desperdicio de nuestro dinero ganado.

The food was good, although it felt a bit too prepared in advance to accelerate the service- we litterally got our fish 3-4 minutes after ordering, the dessert Creme brulee (I mean the caramelized sugar topping,) was completely cold.. The experience of 'eating out' was less nice as we were really rushed in every step of the meal. I understand it is because they have multiple services / several reservations etc and not staff's fault but I still think this is not the way to go. We barely had the time to finish the plates before they were taken away..

Really lovely place to stay. Staff are very welcoming great service. Breakfast was 👌👌👌, loved the local ingredients. The sea view double room had a good working space by the beautiful bay windows, I was lucky enough to be visiting on a sunny winters day which made it even better. The restaurant area also has a great working space by the bay windows. Not to mention great location for the beach Look forward to coming back here. Had everything I needed

Had the tasting menu - absolutely fabulous , great choice - wine pairing was exceptional ! Definitely will order again !! Waitress was amazing too, with extensive knowledge of each dish ! Marvellous. 🤩

Attended an entertainment industry networking event. Large open space,friendly bar staff,lots of seating, buffet was delicious, lots of choice. Parking close by. Drinks reasonably priced. Highly recommend 👌

Enjoyed a fantastic Christmas lunch with colleagues and the food was amazing! It was incredibly busy, but the staff were still so attentive and all dishes were beautifully cooked and presented. I was only visiting as don’t live here, but would definitely come here again when next in Reading.

We were all disappointed with our meals Sunday 29th December………..during the summer we had one of the best roasts ever at Pebble beach restaurant so I pre booked a table well in advance for 4 people at 1:00 for this Sunday 29th December lunchtime, the restaurant was not busy but our meal was almost an hour late being served, when it arrived it was barely warm and the plates were cold, the roast potatoes were undercooked, the vegetables looked very unappetising, chunks of carrot, swede, turnip and green beans, the roast sirloin was cooked well but very sparse, two small slices, also we had to ask for the cauliflower cheese which when it did arrive was microwaved so hot we couldn’t even handle it, not cauliflower but broccoli and leek in a very runny cheese sauce. The waitress was pleasant enough but we were not asked if we wanted any other condiments, horseradish etc, when asked if our meal was ok we mentioned it was cold. We will not be recommending your restaurant as we have done previously

Avoid at all cost, cafe rouge took my money and booking for an afternoon tea but the Windsor restaurant is closed and they won’t refund my money, booked via Buyagift and only after a complaint was my money refunded by buyagift, have complained to cafe rouge press office three times and no response very poor experience. Be advised that cafe rouge are still taking bookings but they have closed over twelve restaurants and still taking reservations for the closed ones.

Sadly when we arrived the first thing we were given was a list of what was not now on the menu. The list was extensive but we decided to stay as we were there now. We ended up choosing pizzas as most of the menu was off. I have to say I’ve eaten better pizzas from the supermarkets. I can understand why the place was empty. Sad as it looks like it could be a lot nicer
