Coffee great. Location great. Staff great. Toilets grim - needs a good deep clean ! Needs more attention to small details maybe.

We love the Shalimar that much. We took our friends over Christmas, it took 1 hour 25 to get there, service, food absolutely FAB U LOUS.

We placed the order and they told us the time it would arrive and it did, it was a larger order for 9 people there was plenty and it was so tasty. Delivery driver was lovely as well

Just had Christmas lunch at the Saracens, what a treat. Took two members of the family who like us were very impressed. Lovely food and great service from Jamie. Would highly recommend.

Came here with a couple of friends during a one night stay in Hathersage and so glad we did. First tip is make sure you book. We came on a Saturday night and it was really busy but our table was ready. The menu had a massive selection to suit all tastes. The food was delicious with beautiful spicy and herby tastes washed down with bottles of Cobra. Even though it was very busy the staff were friendly and attentive. We were also pleasantly surprised at the value for money when we got the bill. Would definitely recommend.

A fabulous visit to the Curry Cottage. The food was fabulous, with a great menu of traditional as well as many chefs specials. The staff were friendly and attentive and I could not fault anything. Will definitely be booking again!

Chose to eat here based on Tripadvisor reviews. A lovely Indian restaurant in the heart of Hathersage, with an extensive menu & all very reasonably priced. Can highly recommend.

We had a takeaway delivered. Delivery good but food swimming in oil and pretty bland. We were on holiday in the area and picked this restaurant as the reviews were good. Very disappointed with the quality. Chilli chicken very bland and swimming in oil. Korma tasty but had the consistency of a very thin soup.

Visiting Matlock from S Wales for a few days. Found this restaurant after reading local reviews. We were not disappointed. Good service,good food. If we didn't live 4 hours away we would visit again. Highly recommend. 👍

Stopping at a lodge for a holiday and spotted this restaurant. Didn't book, just turned up. The food was lovely, nice and hot and served with care. For a sit down meal the cost was very reasonable. One thing to remember is you can take your own bear/wine. The portion sizes of the main meals , rice and chips is great. Overall it was an excellent visit and we hope to go back before the end of the holiday.
