The best restaurants serving Indian food in Nottingham East Midlands

Waitress was more interested in her phone than serving. Took forever to get served, not very attentive at clearing tables, very limited menu, very limited drinks, didn't even know what a Lime and Sofa was, asked for Bacardi and coke and 10 mins later I was asked to choose a different drink as didn't have it, so ordered Rum and coke from bar drinks menu instead... go figure. Don't bother, save your money. Food bland, service terrible, toilets flooded so had to use disabled which were disgusting.

Definitivamente volviendo para otro regalo. Llamamos hoy por casualidad, ya que estábamos en la zona y decidimos probar, ya que cada vez que hemos pasado en una tarde se ve lleno, ahora sabemos por qué! El servicio fue la excelente banda, la comida divina. Tenía el almuerzo pollo especial. Comida y servicio excepcional.

I have previously given this place a 5* but the behaviour of recent delivery drivers, expecting and arguing about rounding up the bill by £5 is just throwing shame on the place. I wouldn’t recommend any longer for delivery.

Had the tikka masala and dhansak tonight, have to say it was delicious chicken was succulent not over cooked,the mushroom and vegetable rice was lush. WILL definitely be ordering g again

It was an hour for delivery but it sure was worth the wait I had chicken chat starter which was delicious and chicken madras with garlic nann everything was deliciously hot really enjoyed it

Ordered myself the butter chicken curry, mushroom rice and garlic naan. Absolutely delicious. I loved the rice, the chicken in my curry was chargrilled which made it taste sooo good! This was my first time ordering as my usual place was closed - this is always a scary concept when you are so used to what you know and enjoy. I was not disappointed. I will be ordering again.

The atmosphere is average and a bit crowded and the staff is friendly and welcomes everyone, I’ve dined here several times. The biriyani was a bit over spices and ingredients compared to the rice portion.

I got pink tea with pistachio, it was really interesting, I recommend everyone

Asked a polish taxi driver to take us to a really nice Asian styled restaurant. After nearly 8 miles away from our hotel he brought us here. Couldn’t really make anything out of the taste as it was all cooked for the English palate. Anyways the establishment doesn’t sell Halal meats. Luckily we asked. So you have to ask them before ordering. The guy taking our order seemed very confused when we asked him on the authenticity of the Halal meat. But luckily very hesitantly told us to eat the chicken. Anyways we stuck to the veg starters and dishes. I think the only person to get a buzz out of the whole experience was the taxi driver taking us back on a two way fare.

I placed my order and it was accepted by the restaurant but was never delivered absolutely horrendous service. Didnt even answer the phone

The starter and the naan breads were fine but the main curry just felt like it was rushed to be put together and watery. Could of blended the sauce and make it more of a puree and that would have been much better. It's been a while since I've ordered from here as felt quality had gone down but thought I'd try again with finding a new curry sauce that I liked.

This was our favourite place to eat Indian food when we lived in Nottingham in the 1980s. Our last meal here was in July 2019 and we had hoped to have an anniversary meal here on 17th October 2023 but it was "closed for a revamp". We are very much looking forward to our next visit!

Another Christmas treat from Tastees this time at home. 1st time that I have had to have an home delivery thanks to covid. I like the restaurant. Anyhow I choose the Shahi King Prawn. Garlic and Chilli naan. Really succulent prawns which went with the curry sauce perfectly. The naan just a little kick just how I like it. Sides I had 2 popadum and chutney tray. Well done hope to see you in your restuarant next year.
