The best restaurants serving Indian food in Hertsmere East of England

Found this gem of an Indian restaurant whilst in the area for a visit to Warner Bros. Studio Tour. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and couldn't be more helpful with recommending dishes that could be made vegan. Some of the other patrons were clearly regulars, which is always testament to good food and good service. Wish it was our local!

Amazing street food menu - £20 for 5 small plates of street food. Menu changes and is inspired by places in India. Food is incredible. The rum old fashioned was delicious! Will be coming back :) staff are also friendly and welcoming.

We had our son's 18th bday at Bhageecha early Jan with 55 guests. The service was impeccable. Food was delicious, cocktails perfectly made and everything was faultless. We would highly recommend this venue to host a party. Big thanks to Lenny and Prem who looked after our guests. Another shout out to Ravi for guiding us all the way from arranging the place, the menu and looking after us overall.

Would have been so much better can not believe that in this day and age on a bissness meal they do not have y fi and did not seem to care when asked will not bring my clients here again

Food is tasty but hygene is SO BAD I will not eat from there, Hygene rating is !. Just abouve being shut down. DO NO T EAT HERE.

The food was tasty, and the service was very quick, which was great. However, I was a bit frustrated when the bill arrived without us even asking for it, and then the card machine was brought to us just two minutes later. I would have understood if the restaurant was busy or if there were people waiting for tables, but there was only one other table occupied at the time. It felt a bit rushed and left me with a poor impression, unfortunately. This experience has made me hesitant to return.

Great local place for Bangladeshi/Indian food. Worth every penny. The sauce is unique to every dish. The vegetable curry accompanying the Biryani is the best I have had in a long time.

A well established neighbourhood restaurant with a wide selection of nicely cooked dishes. Added bonus is the friendly service plus spotlessly clean quality table linen and cutlery.

One of the worst food I've eaten. The meat was hard, the tikkas where hard too. The curries full of oil no taste.

Ordered takeaway - tandoori chicken tikka was totally bland almost like they had forgotten to add spices, the cheese naan was tasteless no cheese. Very disappointed!!!

We ordered a takeaway curry for my son who has a nut allergy. We asked if the curry could be made with no nuts and were reassured that the dish could be made nut free. When we got the dish home I asked my husband to double check with the restaurant as the dish smelt of nuts. When we called the restaurant they had not listened to the seriousness of the request nor demonstrated care in responding to my son’s allergy and the dish did contain nuts. Please do not eat here if you have a food allergy - the risk is too great - the restaurant didn’t listen nor take our requests seriously which could have been fatal.
