We were recommended to this restaurant and we were glad we went. The food was excellent, very good portions, large choice of dishes and very good prices. The staff were brilliant, very friendly, polite & helpful......would recommend a meal out here, we'll definitely be going back. Thank you T Raj for a really lovely meal out

Used to come here many year's ago and my family come here all the time, well used too now!!! Staff are decidedly aloof, disinterested, unfriendly and moody and everything seems too much to ask! On top of this they add a service charge in the middle of the bill as if trying to hide it. It's a pity and can only presume it has changed hands over the years. Food was nice but staff and the deceit at adding service charge means we will not return and have advised our friends and family whom all live in Beddington and Wallington to instead look elsewhere where our custom is appreiciated,,,Akash in Wallington or Blue Bengal we are always made to feel welcome. Asif just cannot be bothered!

It is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Went for family birthday on banquet night. Restaurant, food, staff outstanding. Clean surroundings, beautiful food, lots of choice and staff will recommend if need help with menu. Staff attentive to needs going above and beyond to make experience memorable. Banquet night is £12.95, starter, main, rice or nan, quality food, large portions. Definitely go again and again, keep up great work 🫶

Chennai Dosa offers a menu of traditional South Indian cuisine along with a number of North Indian dishes but unfortunately, the overall dining experience leaves much to be desired. The service is extremely disappointing. Upon entering the restaurant, the staff merely stand behind the drinks counter and point out where to sit. This lack of hospitality creates a poor first impression, setting the tone for the remainder of the visit. The cleanliness of the restaurant is another major concern. The floors are sticky, and the provided cutlery is not properly cleaned. On multiple occasions, I have observed a dirty mop and bucket left in the middle of the dining area—an unpleasant sight for any diner. Even more concerning, I have witnessed staff standing by the drinks counter, tossing utensils into a tub of boiling water without soap, once again in full view of the diners. This cleaning method raises serious doubts about hygiene standards. The food, while passable in taste, does not compensate for these shortcomings. On a recent occasion, some members of our group fell ill which led me to question their freshness and preparation. Such incidents further highlight a disregard for basic food safety protocols. Having experienced far better service and cleanliness in restaurants across India, it is disheartening to find these standards lacking here. Chennai Dosa needs to make significant improvements in customer service, hygiene, and food quality to meet even a basic level of satisfaction. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone expecting a pleasant dining experience or reliable food quality.

This was my favourite Indian Restaurant. It did not serve the standard food that all the other ones do - the food was distinctive and tasty. notice that I used the past tense. It has now gone - the hast time I tried to go was late 2023 and it was closed and boarded. Very sad.

I drove to the take-away ordered & waited for my order which was only a Chicken Vindaloo & Keema Nan Bread. The food was cooked very quickly & I drove straight home . The curry lacked any spice really , I almost think I got given the wrong dish ? The nan was OK & had some lamb in it & was larger than expected.

We loved visiting Spiceland, don't be put off by appearances the food is fantastic and if you don't know what anything is then just ask. Very popular locally their food is traditional (spicy!) But fantastic, you can leave feeling fuller than full for less than £25 for two including a wine each!!
