The best restaurants serving Indian food in North Tyneside North East

We ordered Chinese food along with Paneer curry and they had the authentic Indian taste. We all loved the food and will surely order again. Order was delivered on time as well.

Decorated so nicely, and special festive menu made ordering easy. Food was some of the best I've had for a long time. The staff were helpful, friendly, and made our family meal perfect.

Food was nice but don't use their family ran taxi service as they will take your eyes out. £18 for a 5.5 mile trip at 6.15 pm. No meter in the taxi either.

I’ve loved Bangladeshi food for most of my life. I grew up on it, I’ve tried so many places and never had such a consistent and wonderful experience as I have going to Ahar. Fiz the owner is a superb host and the restaurant is a warm and welcoming place, for solo visits or with friends and family. I’ve never had a meal that wasn’t brilliant here but tonight I think I reached Valhalla. The lamb mustard bhuna might just be the best curry I’ve ever eaten. The difference with Ahar is in the details. Authentic food, real charcoal tandoor oven and the best ingredients. Why are you wasting your time going anywhere else, this should be your only port of call.

Attractive restaurant with polite & helpful staff. Food is excellent and specifically cooked to our request. Have been going there for years and am never disappointed.

NYE so very busy and a little late but delish

Received a delivery lastnighy. Curry was all over the bag (popped open), the food was stone cold and delivery was late. I only ordered from here as I have been to Gulshan a couple of times and the food was amazing. However, not this time. The naan was tiny, all food cold, chicken in the curry was dry (over cooked). I’ve never had a worse delivery than this one. I wouldn’t have paid £5 for it never mind the alnisy £50 it cost! Bitterly disappointed, I would never order delivery from here again!

So nice all cooked fresh had lots of choice I am a regular here as I have tried many different places but this is the best one around all so tasty thank you
