Ordered a takeaway. Promptly cooked for our big order (6 adults, one vegetarian) good quality food with large pieces of chicken in the main courses . Highly recommend

The samosas at £1 each is a rip off, very small. At least 2 for £1, the onion bajees are worse, how can you charge £1 each? They are small to say the least.

Love the Sultan of Lancaster, always great tasting food, my go to everytime. Best curry in town!

My wife is away for few days and, as I was going out to go to the supermarket for a late shop, I thought I would go beforehand for a curry, rather than make something just for myself at home. I have been a vegetarian for a long time and, thankfully, eating out is no longer restricted to an omelette or mushroom stroganoff. Much of Indian cuisine has generally had a good variety of vegetarian dishes and it’s a case of choosing the cooking method. The Far Pavilion is fairly near to the supermarket where I was to shop and I decided I would try it. I opted for a vegetable Balti with the usual accompaniments and when it came it seemed fine. Now, I don’t think that it’s too much to expect to actually have some vegetables in a curry; a few pieces of potato/cauliflower/okra/ carrot etc. This wasn’t the case with this particular offering. There was 1 piece of potato and 1 piece of cauliflower mixed in with some strands of something else. And the piece of cauliflower was actually part of the root that couldn’t be cut and was inedible. This simply is not good enough and it is actually quite disrespectful to serve something of such poor quality to a paying customer. I complained to who I believe was the manager and, although he was mildly apologetic (I can’t recall if there was an offer of an alternative) the experience was sullied and I declined, preferring to simply leave. Coming to pay and I said I would pay the full amount, not wishing to be accused of trying to get out of payment. In any case, the bill was already written out (with that “service” charge already added) and there was no offer of any reduction on the bill. Again, not a very customer orientated gesture. So for me that was £20.70 down the “swanny” and for them, a bad review on Trip Advisor.

Take away order… Had a 5+ takeaway orders delivered now from cafe masala. Can arrive within 30mins or 3 hours. One occasion it didn’t arrive at all. The food we have always enjoyed but have to reheat. Limited for choice on takeaways where we live, but if the service is offered it should be delivered.

Never experienced such poor service from a takeaway. Ordered through Uber eats, took over 2 and a half hours for food to arrive (expected wait time was 45 minutes). When the food arrived we were missing an item and food was cold, staff on the phone came across irritated that they had to fix their mistake. Would honestly recommend just buying a ready meal and microwaving it for 20 seconds — it will save you a lot of time for the same quality of food.

Do not use this restaurant, it is a scam, ordered from just eat, order did not turn up, went to restaurant next to collect, to find it's ceased trading, but is still taking orders and money of people, never got my money back

Tenía un plato de plátano con peshwari naan y algunas otras cosas. La comida es increíble y siempre llega temperatura CALIENTE es increíble. Está tan bien entregado como lo estaría sentado en el restaurante. Rara vez como para ser honesto (como 2 ser MUY flaco y básicamente nunca visitar la habitación Alpha Omega jajaja) ¡Pero pensé que tendría una última comida! Especias urbanas el plato de plátano es impresionante! : )
