The best restaurants serving Indian food in Stockport North West

Been sat here for 2hrs. Understaffed. All the Deliveroo and Uber Eats people are sorted. Deliveroo and Uber Eats people with Mobile phones staring at customers. At least 30 on line people served. Just poppadoms in 2hrs for us. Gutted.

We finished up here because we were not happy with the food at the Premier Inn were we were staying overnight. What a find, will certainly eat here again if get back this way. We unfortunately don't live locally.

Onions, onions and more onions! Pickle tray - mint sauce was flourescent green, never seen anything like it! Onions were redder than tomatoes. Seriously, how much colourant do you need to use. I also thought there was a strange smell from the pickles which left a distasteful aftertaste. Ordered chicken Shahlik, which was very salty, small amounts of chicken, again, too many onions. The curry sauce also full of onion..... What's with all of the onions, I hear you cry! When asked how our food was we politely gave our feedback, was little response from the elderly gentleman who we found to be rather arrogant and indifferent. A younger member of staff spoke to us, of which I asked if he would eat what we had been served.... Neither confirmed nor denied so take what you will from that one! But hey, an onion a day keeps everyone away.... and that'll be the case with us returning to this restaurant!

4 and a half years we've been in Stockport and until now we've not found a reliably good curry house. I suspect you've sorted that now. Thank you!

Number 1 choice for a good curry. Staff are so friendly, food amazing never had a bad meal

AVOID!!!! It took 3 hours to arrive and half of the order was missing. Spent £32 on bad quality food. Iceland food is better

Good food, good atmosphere and very welcoming; friendly and helpful staff. The menu has specialities beyond the standard Baltis etc that are well worth exploring.

I'm not a great lover of Indian food, but I do enjoy the food here. Been a number of times, staff are always very friendly and professional. I would recommend.

Deodar is a fabulous takeaway, staff or always helpful and polite. They do the best Chicken Madras ,nan bread and onion bhaji.

Do not order before these shut down! Items missed off the order and paid for delivery but told us we need to pick up even thought we had paid! Food was cold and had no flavor! There is a reason they are going out of business! Rude staff

Ordered chicken garlic balti, it came out and it looked like sick, tasted like it had come out of a jar, it’s was just sauce and chicken. No onions or chilli’s nothing.I have had many of jar curry’s at home and most of them leave a tangy taste, it tasted like a Sharwoods curry sauce and they have just added chicken tikka to it. You can’t even sit down and take your coat off before they are asking you what drinks you want, very rushed and very quick from serving popadom, starters and then to mains. Very quick to take the menu away. They stand and stare a lot, come over multiple times whilst eating never again. Oh and then you get a dirty look when you don’t leave a tip. My tip is don’t cut corners and charge a fortune.
