The best restaurants serving Indian food in Thanet South East

If you are ever in Westgate, eat in this place, the food is outstanding. The food takes a bit of time but seriously worth the wait. The poppadoms are good, but don't eat too many as you won't eat your main meal. I took half mine home in a doggy bag!LOVELY PLACE.

The place is divided into two parts as if there were once two places, it did not feel cosy, but then its all about the food, unfortunately whilst adequate it would not tempt me back. My waiter did not seem to have done this before and knew nothing of the menu, maybe it was his first night. Hopefully it will improve.

Disappointing, lazy, low-effort and tasteless 'Indian' food. We tried a few basics to check them out - the chicken tikka starters were ok but only just warm. Very red colour but virtually tasteless and they came with just one tiny bag of salad and one small pot of sauce. The chicken tikka masala was bland, like chicken in tomato sauce that separated on the plate. No cream, no fresh coriander, no flavour, no aroma, no spice. The chana masala chickpeas were hard, hardly any sauce so very dry, no flavour. The naan was ok but undercooked, the rice was rice. The best I can say was that I didn't have to cook it.

Food was all cold and the curry containers were only half full. Wont order here again!

Lovely tasty food at reasonable prices

We went here for a friends birthday. The food and service was great. They even gave birthday girl a desert with a candle and sung to her.

Lovely food and very well priced. Thursday and Sunday banquet meal now £14.95 p.p.

Came to Margate for a long weekend. We needed a bite to eat after a long drive and found Margate Tandoori. So glad we did. Had a sheekh kebab to share followed by a railway lamb (in hubby's opinion was the best lamb dish he'd had in a long time) and my Dhaka dish was very tasty too with perfect heat. As big foodies in Indian cuisine, this was a very enjoyable experience and would recommend to anyone.

Nearly two hours for delivery, phoned for update guy on the end of phone couldn’t understand anything we were asking. Will go back to our usual place in future
