The worst Biryani i have ever had, just rice, a hard boiled egg and thin strips of chicken tikka - where was the veg to call this a special biryani and charge me extra for it, was, audacious and untrue. The last 3 curries ordered from this establishment were poor and certainly lacking in substance and flavour - very low standards. Sack the cook and employ one who has knowledge of authentic indian cooking

Booked a table for 7 o'clock New Years eve. Guy phoned back saying they couldn't do that and could we make 8.30 which I agreed to. Arrived on time to be met with absolute chaos. We were not actually greeted by anybody with probably 40 people crammed in the bar area waiting for tables. Was already dubious about staying but then 2 separate incidents made up my mind. One customer at the bar grabbed a waiter and asked why they'd been waiting 30 minutes for their booked table followed by another seated customer asking why they'd been waiting 40 minutes for starters. That made up my mind so we drove into town for a curry at Ruchi. Appreciate NYE busy but strikes me the restaurant got greedy and accepted bookings for numbers it simply couldn't cope with.

BOLD STATEMENT HERE…This is probably the best Asian Restaurant we have ever been to in Europe. I say Europe because we have travelled around India. The team here are ultra friendly, and on noticing our northern accents, were happy to enjoy some banter with us about football. Every member of staff was dressed immaculately, even the friendly Bengali waiter who calls himself Robbie Williams (and even gave us an Indian/Bangladeshi rendition of ‘Angels’ ! The food was unbelievable and so authentic. These guys didn’t even know us and gave us a free starter because they wanted our opinions. That starter along with the rest of the meal were absolutely 10/10. This restaurant is in a busy area for restaurants so these guys need to be spot on their game. I am glad to say they were. The owner and management of this place have done a fantastic job in making this place very clean and presentable. One thing that I like about this restaurant is that you can sit anywhere you like, as opposed to a lot of restaurants cramming guests into tables that suit the establishment. Finally, I’m not sure if our bill was incorrect or they have to be competitive because of all the eateries in the area, but the prices of food & drink are fantastic. I assure you, we will DEFINITELY return to this brilliant, authentic, clean restaurant. To all the team at Khyber… thank you.

Food was average service was terrible however the atmosphere was good given the time of year. It was also mentioned after the visit that the owner/s were in the local news. On wiltshire999s re highworth restaurant manager which was concerning so will not be going back.

I have eaten at Abe's a number of times and I have always enjoyed a quality meal. Yesterday's vegetarian tali must have been one of the best ever; it was beautifully present and the dishes were all so different and each one bursting with flavour. The marsala chai was pipping hot and delicious. I highly recommend Abe's restaurant for top quality Southern Indian 'street food'.
