Was a bit disappointed as I placed the order in the morning for 6.30pm delivery and it didn’t arrive until 7.15pm after I’d enquired about it. My Son who lives at the same address didn’t place his order till 4.30pm and got his delivered at 6pm.

After initially having a takeout from here, I thought it would be better food eating in.....how wrong could i be. The poppadoms were okay, although once my wife found something crawling in the onion salad...maybe we should have just asked for the bill. We did order starters and mains, starters were a disappointment, my chilli paneer wasnt with chillies as i would have expected but with a lot of chilli powder to marinate the paneer (couldn't taste the cheese), wifes starter of sheek kebab was overly greasy. Mains lamb rogan josh and chicken saagwala with garlic rice and garlic and cheese naan.... lamb rogan - two different colour sauces one a sickly brown and the other a red tomatoey sauce (no onions, tomatoes or peppers, which are stated on the menu ) chicken saagwala - blended spinach , few lumps of chicken in a very brown sauce which was overly salty, no veg in there at all other than the spinach Garlic rice - tasted lovely but greasy Naan - not what i expect from an indian restaurant not home made more like a shop bought bread. Waiter did however offer complimentary drinks at the end of the meal .... maybe to make up for the food that was sent back. Overly priced.

Really lovely meal here on a Saturday night, busy little restaurant which we took as a good sign when staying locally, and it didn't disappoint. We spend under £50 for shift drinks, poppadoms, two mains, two rice and two nans. And we're stuffed when we left. Good choice of vegetarian dishes, and all very tasty food.

"I recently celebrated my birthday with family and friends here, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The ambiance was clean, warm, and welcoming, setting a perfect atmosphere for our celebration. The Chicken Madras curry was deliciously spiced with just the right amount of heat, and the naan was beautifully cooked—soft, fluffy, and flavorful. Our waiter was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy the evening. Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable! We’ll definitely be back to relive such a fantastic dining experience."

As regular customers, we've just been to The Lea Cross Tandoori for our Christmas Dinner. The first time in our lives we've dined out for Christmas. Not having eaten turkey, doesn't seem to have affected us in any way. Anyway, they're thinking of doing curried turkey in 2025. As usual, the food, service and welcome, was exceptional. Will definitely consider booking again for next year. Not elbows deep in washing up, I am able to sit with a single malt and write this review. Well done to all those hard working guys at Award Winning Lhe Lea Cross.
