The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

The food that was splendid and divine and was good for palate. Mr Mohit Singh’s service was exceptional and he took great care of ours. We went for a family lunch. Would revisit again

Good flavour but the lamb was too soft. Nothing special and for a £50 order, there was no complimentary poppadoms…

We popped by tonight 19/12/24 to see what the chances were to get a table. We were greeted by some lovely staff and then the manager who said that he would have a table free around 8pm. We came back , and we were taken to the lovely booth table at the back of the restaurant , indeed the best table in the house I feel! A beautifully appointed restaurant , the decor a gorgeous mix of forest green and gold , low level lighting , velvet booths and lots of faux foliage . Smart servers , stylish menus , great choices of traditional meals along with some signature dishes all very reasonably priced. A comprehensive drinks menu with an extremely drinkable Prosecco. We ordered poapdums chutneys to start , very fresh warm popadums and the chutneys were delightful. Main courses were a Lamb Sagwala ( spinach in a tasty thick sauce , with finely chopped onion , coriander peas and spices ) the Lamb was tender and plentiful. Not swimming in grease/ ghee or overly saucy . A well balanced dish full of flavour with no heat , suitable for a person who prefers a mild / no heat curry A dish of lamb Bombay Flame , again tender lamb extremely well spiced and medium hot, it was very tasty with a lot of sauce. We had the special rice , which was very nice , flavourful dish and in a great portion for 2 of us sharing. The garlic naan was delicious , hot , pillowy , buttery delight with finely chopped fresh garlic . The service was impeccable , the food delicious , the cost was very reasonable. If you haven’t eaten here yet, you’re missing a treat.

What a lovely restaurant and I give it 10 out of 10 for service, atmosphere and food. Vegetarian Thali was excellent and lassi a must. We finished off with cheesecake. As a visitor to Brighton, this lovely restaurant will be our first choice. Thank you so much for a lovely experience 😀

Lahori dhaba is a fantastic place to dine! The food is bursting with autentice flavor and clearly made fresh, which u can taste in every bite the ambiance is cozy beautifully decorated , making it a pleasent place to eat . The sevice was excelent, espacially from the young girl called Hina who attended to us with a kind and quick approach ensuring all our requests were met properly. Highly recommended this spot for delicious food and great hospitality!

Great food, as a vegetarian the choice was fabulous. Good variety of options. But meat eaters of course more than catered for. Service was excellent! Could not fault. Compliments go to Sim and Jassa front of house. Must be one of the best Indian restaurants there is in town.

This wasn’t too random a choice I’d looked around on Trip Advisor and it was so recommended. It’s a lovely place, we went for lunch, so it was quiet and the lovely service quick. There is such an interesting selection of foods, definitely great for veggies. I had lightly battered cauliflower with delicious spicy slightly sweet sauce and lots of stirred fried peppers and onions. Himself had the really cute, I know strange adjective, highly edible chicken lollypops with spicy garlic sauce. For my main I had an amazing dish of aubergine and mango with flavourful coconut masala like sauce. He had rajasthan lamb (apologies for spelling); we both had really lovely light naan breads with our dishes. We didn’t have any room for pudding, because though portions appear not too big they were really filling. What a find and… we’ve discovered they have restaurants in Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. Possibly other places. So very worth a visit.

Always good food and the owners make you very welcome, we travel about 15 miles to revisit.

Great food with plenty of choice on menu. Friendly service. Reasonable pricing. Nice atmosphere and focus was definitely given to in house diners. Recently, we’ve been to other restaurants where constant deliveries have been more of a focus for staff.
