The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Reema and the team at Lady Buddha are lovely and make the best food ever, so tasty!!! It's all amazing, I especially love the paneer paratha wrap and the daal, so yummy!!! :)

Myself and 3 friends ate at the Dolma last night it was superb,we all had starters and mains and were treated to some ice cream which had been made earlier in the day as a complimentary sweet.The menu has dishes that I have never heard of before the chicken dumplings (momo) were outstanding. We were made to feel more like members of the family than paying customers we will definitely be returning soon.

The food is absolutely splendid. The chef customises it as requested. It has become more of a Saturday morning routine to order and have food here. It’s served with a smile and warmth as if it’s all just one family. There are always new people and new faces of different languages and cultures at the joint, to talk to about random things. The little birds keep chirping and playing around whilst one eats there. It’s more than just a food joint, it’s more an enriching experience to just be there early and find happiness.

2nd time trying this restaurant/takeaway. Delicious food lovely flavours all really well cooked. Best curry I’ve had in years if not ever. Thank you to the chefs. Delivery chap is very friendly and food was delivered quicker than quoted which is always a bonus. Thanks again will definately be ordering again

The food is very good. Really tasty & freshly cooked. The garlic chilli paneer & naan are exceptional. What's needed is a bit of finesse - the piped soft rock music is awful, the decor needs a rethink & a mint / chocolate at the end is an easy touch.

Probably the best Indian I have had. I don’t usually write reviews but felt compelled as the food was so good. Staff are welcoming and the restaurant is spotless. As someone else mentioned, you are in for a nice surprise if you order the onion bhaji. My wife mentioned that the wine tasted crisp. Great experience, will be the only place I go to now for a curry.

I live nearby and had been meaning to try this place for a while. We ordered a takeaway tonight of Lamb Shank Biryani, Trio of Chicken, Vegan Curry and a Garlic Naan. Wow - we loved it and the flavours blew our socks off. Lovely bold Indian flavours with lots of layers, not just hot. And it was more food than the 2 of us could eat, so a very nice lunch for one of us tomorrow too. Compliments to the chef!

Valentines meal. First time after hearing great reviews, and wanted to try it out. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT - AMAZING. Definitely coming back

We were looking for a place to eat near yo Cranfield University, with our son. We came across the Gurka Kitchen. We sat down in the bar and looked at the menu. We were told we needed to go into the restaurant to order food. Restaurant was well maintained and not to busy ( for Sunday lunch time). Wife had curried lamb shank, son had tandoori mixed grill and I had the Gurka egg noodles and crispy duck. Food looked great and tasted even better. All three of us said we'd go back again to eat.

Visité en raíz dos veces en diciembre después de descubrirlo cuando fuimos a ver una banda en Brixton. Tuvimos el compartir thali en ambas ocasiones y fue delicioso. Una buena cantidad de comida para 2 y muchos sabores y texturas diferentes. Ahora vamos a Brixton. Vale la pena reservar una mesa a medida que se pone ocupado!

Lovely atmosphere, excellent food, brilliant staff, loads for the kids to do without disturbing anyone, great for a visit on your own or with others. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

What a brilliant restaurant. Freshly cooked food and an amazing choice . I visited on a friends birthday in a party of 11. I had chicken biryani and it was the best tasting that I have had ( sauce was amazing and the rice ) Food and drink prices were very reasonable . Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble . The owner was very friendly . Will certainly be revisiting soon
