Placed an order for takeaway delivery and I have to say it was absolutely brilliant. I’ve not long moved to Upton so first time trying this takeaway and I’m already sold and will be ordering again.

The curry dishes we had were quite nice, standard, not amazing. We had 2 types of naan, the peshwari naan was far too sweet. We felt a bit rushed by the staff, unnecessary as the place was half empty. Still eating when we were asked if we were done. Reasonable overall but nothing special.

Always used the Spice Empire, been using them since we moved into Cleobury in 2021, and over the last 23 years we have probably eaten with them at least every fortnight wether it is in the restaurant or as a takeaway. I can honestly say I’ve never experienced a bad meal, and on the very odd occasion that something maybe be missing or incorrect it had been dealt with, with no quibble at all. The staff are fabulous and fun when you get to know them. Highly recommend it. Julia and the Perkins family.

Very poor egg and bacon to takeaway. Never had coriander on a egg and bacon bap before. It was well presented however the egg had no yolk in as it was spread over the cardboard box it came in.

Amazing food, great customer service and food knowledge on all dishes. Top marks. Both me and my partner enjoyed both dishes and an array of sides. All amazing

Ordered food and collected..... Got home and there was no rice which I paid for, and once we started eating it we found big black hairs in it.It's got some good reviews but it's gone downhill.

Went here for the first time with friends who have been several times.es and highly rated it. We were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to our table then took our drinks order. They came with the menu and took our order very quickly, and we didn't have long to wait for the food. Compliments go to the kitchen staff for the excellent food. Complementary baileys and brandy offered at the end of the night. We will definitely be back.

Great meal and service again in Holi & Bhang. Substantial and tasty food. Good choice for all of us from the pre-starters, starters & mains. Have enjoyed every visit here. On a side note a lovely view of Durham when outside. And on a clear night great view of the stars! All round a good night out and will return again.
