The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

Have been eating here over 26 years the food has always been great. But tonight we ordered a takeaway. We had chicken tikka baltli masala, and a chicken jalfrazi. These were the best meals I have ever eaten there!!! Recommend this gem of restaurant to everyone! Lorraine

I was at 3 Three's Coffee Lounge a few days ago (I go there a lot) with a friend and we were the last customers to leave as they were closing up. I left my purse (my bad) which I had down the side of me on the sofa the whole time and didn't realise I hadn't put it back in my bag until my bank called me to say there had been 4 suspect withdrawals on my card, up to a £100 within the hour after me leaving. So a staff member at this cafe, after serving me with a smile, stole my purse and attempted to spend my money. I had cards in it with my name and number on! So if you do go in there, be extra vigilant with your valuables. When I posted this on my facebook page another friend said she'd been hearing a lot of negative things about this cafe, I'm now not surprised. I have given them to chance to respond and heard nothing. I will not be going there again.

Lively place, good food served very quickly, interesting menu with new/different dishes, friendly staff. Byob policy is great.

Extremely good experience here with a takeaway. We had about 8 dishes and they were all lovely. Service was prompt, polite, informative and friendly. It was all piping hot and ready in almost exactly the time they said it would be ready - around 25 minutes for freshly cooked food is about perfect. Only one gripe: the food was not particularly spicy, we had one chef’s special and one “medium” and both were somewhat less hot than we are used to. Starters were really good though, the veg samosa’s a particular delight. Thanks!

Should have known this wasn't going to be a good experience when we booked. Booked for 9.30 but asked to be earlier as they closed at 10.30am. Strange as it's advertised 11am. Arrived at 9.10 . Ordered and the food arrived. Dry, tasteless and king prawn masala sauce was sickly. Afterwards waiter wiped the table down while we sat there. Another came to take payment but was interrupted by the manager about something else. Everyone who left had the door held open but not us. I booked after reading reviews never again for us. I been to many Indian restaurants across the country and the is the worst one by far. Never again.

I have formed a Friday night club for myself and my friends, and we all went to Rhamans Indian restaurant on Friday evening, we all thought the food was delicious, and the service was impeccable also. Zac and his daughter Charlie looked after all of us. Thank you for a memorable evening. We shall be visiting again for sure. Bob Emo.

I am a regular customer but tonight the chicken was very grisly, had to leave most of it ! The food was also cold , think it had been out for delivery for a while , very disappointed 😞

I had 2 different starters, and a King Prawn Pathia main course. Both starters were divine, but the King Prawn Pathia was absolutely mind blowing to a different level. There were a vast amount of tender, juicy king prawns, and the sauce had an absolute perfect balance of hot, sweet and sour, gorgeous.👌 Can't wait to do it all again soon.

The Raj Poot is always welcoming. Lovely food and great choice. Nice extras such as a baileys to end the meal. Great atmosphere

We have a variety of dishes and all were excellent a chicken tikka biryani , prawn puri and and Chicken and Lamb nan, the food is excellent and the portions are very generous thank you!

Was in the area and fancied a curry, this is a very small restaurant near the water and offers the usual menu options. Very nice food and the bill was surprisingly low.

Great food and great service. Will definitely be back again.

I noticed a recommendation from someone on a Leeds Vegans/veggies page. I planned for a family meet up just before Christmas and, because two out of the 4 are Vegan this was ideal as there are plenty of Vegan options. The food was lovely, there was plenty of choice and the staff were great. I felt they really understood about catering for Vegans which in many other places is tricky. We all enjoyed the food and the experience. Highly recommend (and thats coming from one very fussy Bradfordian when it comes to curries)!
