Mrs P's Luxury Ice Cream and Coffee House is a hidden gem. We've called in on numerous occasions with our 4 your old grandson on the way back from The Little Lancashire Village in Rawtenstall. The approach to the shop is a little steep but there's a large free car park at the top of the hill that usually has spaces available. Mr's P's has a great selection of ice cream and sometimes has "guest" flavours available. On our most recent visit they were doing a Halloween themed flavour containing treacle, it was delicious. Our grandson usually takes ages to pick as there's so much choice! Seating is available if you want a coffee with your ice cream.

Popped in for breakfast as wanted to put money in to local business rather than McDâs etc and the board outside stated 2 breakfasts and 2 teas ÂŁ12 which seemed reasonable. The breakfast was well sized however the sausage was bland as was the grilled tomato. Bacon and beans were good. The pot of tea wasnât the best. At no point did anybody pop over and ask us if we were enjoying our meal or if everything was ok. The decor was tired with marks on the walls and the door was filthy. We were in early and the place was empty so wasnât as though the grime had built up in the day and would have took a minute to wipe it down with a damp cloth at least. Also the table cloth was stained. When went to pay it was ÂŁ15.88 and not the ÂŁ12 as advertised outside but couldnât be bothered challenging as it was the missusâs birthday. Wonât be going there again as just not good enough.

An authentic Italian restaurant hidden away in the far end of an industrial estate. Donât let the location or the lack of kerb appeal put you off. This restaurant has some fantastic pasta dishes and great cakes. Give it a go!

I booked a table for 6 for my wife's birthday through Mezzepotamia's website. I received a booking confirmation when I booked, but when we got to the restaurant the owners advised that they are closed for renovations. Unfortunately this isn't the first time a booking has been cancelled by the restaurant without them letting us know. Needless to say, we won't be booking a table there again.

Booked a table for 9 people for a family birthday 2 weeks in advance. On our way to the restaurant we checked the website to look at the menu to discover they were temporarily closed and had been for a while. The restaurant had made no attempt to contact us to inform us they were closed and when we called up to confirm they made no apologies. If we hadn't checked we would have been left stood on the street on a Friday evening with nowhere to go! Disgraceful service, will not be going again despite positive experiences in the past.

Ordered wings and ribs to start which were really good! For mains we had the white field calzone and fried chicken burger. The chicken burger had been burnt to the point the batter was black and when I asked the waitress she said thats what its meant to look like. I was a bit confused by her response but tried to eat anyway and could tell it would have been delicious had it not been burnt. Everything else was really nice and the service was good just a shame about the burger and the waitress saying it was meant to be like that to avoid having to redo it.

Was a tribute night which was great fun. Unfortunately the food was not up to its usual standard. Garlic bread was like cardboard, rock hard and tasteless. The Ravioli was delicious but was more like a starter. I expected a full plate, not 5 pieces! Very disappointed as usually excellent food. The entertainment was fantastic and the service was good.

First we had to run the gauntlet of the smokers blocking the front entrance. Once inside the noise of general loud conversations in the small waiting room was deafening, then the saxophonist started to play and lifted the volume to painful levels. Waiting to be shown to our table we had to sit and suffer this noise. On entering the dining area the volume of conversations in the room was again so loud it was difficult just to hear the person sitting opposite me. In general this made the experience of a nice meal unpleasant. The food was the only thing I would recommend it was hot and well presented. The next problem was the noise was so loud it was difficult to pass the orders to the waiter. I enjoyed the taste of my meal but the dining experience was totally ruined by the loud noise in the room. There was no difference between a rowdy pub and the restaurant. The staff looked after us exceeding well and I cannot fault the service we received, the food was delicious, hot and well presented. The deco of the room was very pleasing to the eye. Just a shame about the noise. Due to the volume of noise in the restaurant and suffering tinnitus for two days after my visit I will not be revisiting again any time soon.

Had a wonderful birthday celebration meal here. The staff were so organised, helpful and pleasant. The surroundings were lovely, especially for a celebration and I felt very special. We were delayed by traffic issues on the night but the staff were so understanding and put us at ease. Would definitely recommend and I can't wait to go back. Thank you Porada!
