Recommended to try Bonochi by friends, four of us ate here last night ⊠we werenât disappointed. The place is much bigger than it looks from outside, is nicely fitted out and the initial welcome was good as was the subsequent service. The food was a good as it gets. We enjoyed a number of starters, mains and desserts, they were spot on, the cooking and presentation were excellent and the pricing fair given the quality of the food served. Weâll be back again and have no hesitation in giving a five star rating.

Three of us turned up om a saturday evening without a booking. The restaurant was very busy but they made us very welcome. After a short wait when coffee had been served to us a table was made available. Food order taken. More drinks and the most amazing food. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We have been several times since and will continue. There is no parking but there are car parks in the vicinity

Excellent authentic Italian food in the restaurant in the Andrew Arms, Compstall. The food service is separate from the pub with a comfortable dining room. The food cooked by chef Vichenzo and served by his wife is Italian through and through. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food at good price, which we will visit again and again. My pet hate is dogs in the dining room and there were none. I don't know if we were just lucky. Our favourite Italian.

Food was as flavourful as a kick in the mouth ordered garlic bread which tasted like the literal void of nothingness in a widows heart (tasted like literally nothing) and to break my heart even further they served me the dryest pizza of all time (which they advertised had 3 types of meat on it) which had 0 MEAT just a pure margherita which hurt my soul every time i chewed on that flavourless dough. After my heart broke i couldnt even bear to stick around and try a dessert because i wouldve junmped off the roof otherwiseđ

We tried this as a local Italian, food was amazing and fresh. For the price I felt it was very good. Service was great, so friendly and welcoming. We were shocked that it was so busy for a week night, which was great. The decor is a little bit worn but the other areas make up for this!

I have been a customer here for 20 years, but tonight that sadly ends. Restaurant tells me they have table free upstairs for New Yearâs Eve by e mail contact. Explained my son has a hidden disability they then tell me to ring the restaurant directly. Contact the restaurant directly to be told no tables are now available upstairs. Very poor customer service and communication here. Reply to Bellini Feedback. I was informed there were tables available upstairs at 20.09 tonight, then told to call the restaurant. I then called the restaurant at 20.35 to be told there were no tables, but equally informed that the person who e mailed back didnât check properly. I think the tone of your reply isnât very welcome here. Iâve booked with another local restaurant now who were very helpful assisting with my sons requirements.

inside was absolutely beautiful hence to why we wanted to try it out đ service was also so lovely đ©· However I have never had a spaghetti bolognese so disgusting in my whole life, same for my boyfriend . People next to us had pizza and it looked way better but Even the spag bol came out looking great however it was just chopped tomatoes with spaghetti and really lacked flavour . I was really disappointed with our food because its not all the time we will come out to eat & it really did ruin our night đbut giving it back and complaining just isnât me . My anxiety screams noooođ©I wouldnât come again anytime soon đ

Our quest for good value lunches continues. And Piccolo certainly offers good value at ÂŁ15 for two courses (and a tenner for just a main). And a goodly bit of variety â a dozen starters, followed by a range of salads, pizza and pasta dishes. Itâs been there for years in the building built in 1841 as a Methodist chapel. So, bruschetta to start for one of us. Crisp, toasted bread topped with flavoursome chopped tomato and onion, drizzled with balsamic. That was followed by a very decent lasagne. For the other, fried squid rings in a crisp coating, with garlic mayo, followed by a Chicken Caesar salad. Good lunch

Have been eating here since the week it opened. It hasnât changed much and neither has the menu, but working on the âif it isnât brokenâ principle then you have to argue itâs definitely doing something right. Have enjoyed too many meals here over the years to remember but our last one was unforgettable for the wrong reason. After enjoying yet another meal here the other night we were about to place our dessert selection and as my son is coeliac he asked what desserts were gluten free. The waitresses responseâŠ.and wait for it because itâs an absolute master class in what NOT to say.âŠwasâŠ.âI have no ideaâ. Iâm sorry, you have no idea??? She didnât even make ANY attempt to go and find out (or as far as the law is concerned) provide my son with the legally required list of allergens on the menu. To say the entire table was stunned into silence was an understatement. As this was a family meal paid for by my elderly mother to save her any discomfort or embarrassment the matter was not pursued. Instead we declined any desserts, she paid and we all left. Never to return again regrettably. Valentinoâs needs some serious and urgent staff training if the response to a legitimate question concerning something as important as food allergies is âI have no ideaâ. They have been reported to the FSA who will hopefully be able to provide them with the help they so badly need.
