The best restaurants serving Italian food in Cherwell South East

Wow the people here are so delightful. We were lucky to find this cafe amongst many others that did not look as inviting. The toasted sandwiches were superb, the rolls equally delicious but best of all were the home made cakes. Bonus- excellent coffee served in beautiful cups and mugs. Wonderful cafe.

We visited Veeno today for lunch. We had the best meal and we’ll certainly be back. I can’t believe we haven’t discovered this gem before. We had garlic bread and pizza, both of which were the best we’ve ever tasted. They came with olive oil and balsamic dip which was gorgeous. They also gave us some truffle oil to dip the pizza crusts in which was soooo good and different. They had a huge selection of wines and their house red was delicious. I had to have a second glass 😋. Can’t wait to return to try more of their menu. Thank you for a fanatic relaxing lunch x

This place creates the most incredible pizzas for a brilliant price! Once you’ve tried it once, you’ll never go else where again. Keep it up Cal

What a great bar! Children loved the Entertainment. The food was great. But more importantly the company was the best. Thanks Sharon and Ian for a lovely afternoon. We will certainly be visiting again 🤣🤣

We were there as a party of 19 for a 75th birthday. Food was excellent and service very well managed. Very impressed all round.

The food was stone cold and globs of grease all over it. Salad most definitely was not fresh.

Amazing coffee and Banbury cakes, service with a smile sold out of an amazing van! Well worth a visit!

Absolutely a wonderful surprise. Had reservations someplace else that decided not to open so we found Capri. Exceptional atmosphere, service and food. We will definitely be back as it is one of our favorites.

I had never been here before A friend and her Daughter had So decided to go for Sunday lunch They had lamb I had beef. Well presented excellent food Loved the sweet as well

What a place! First of all - if you want the CLOUD cocktail - you will be disappointed as they don’t sell them any more. I only say this as we heard 4 people ask for it and were all disappointed but don’t let that put you off there’s so many amazing looking and tasting drinks here - mine was made in front of me using a red hot poker iron! Like everyone else we whitenessed we walked straight past the entrance. When your maps tell you you have arrived and you see the screen saying “use other door” simply look on the floor and follow the carpet! Sounds simple but everyone walked past the door. I’ll be honest the menu is very confusing but the bar staff know this and are more than happy to help you find the drink you will like and if it’s not on the menu they will make you a personalised drink. I recommend sitting at the bar - we were treated so well and the incredible barmen was so fascinating to watch he lived and breathed cocktails and was so happy to educate us and show us the homemade perfumes he makes to infuse the spirits it was an a amazing experience. My wife chose a cocktail that wasn’t to her taste and they were more than happy to make her a new one the drinks are great and the theatrics are amazing!

Disgusting raw chewy calimari food was sat out for ages before it came to us poor service rude chefs and waitresses avoid avoid avoid

Had a very pleasant experience at this cafe. The service was very welcoming and the food was absolutely superb. If we were local to Banbury we’d definitely eat here regularly.

Mi madre y yo visitamos La Tua Pasta después de un día de compras y nos quedamos impresionados por la comida. La pasta era increíblemente fresca, y no podíamos fallar. Es fácilmente uno de los mejores platos de pasta que hemos probado hasta ahora, lo que hizo la experiencia aún más decepcionante debido al mal servicio. Lamentablemente, un miembro del personal llamado Nicole frenó nuestra visita. Mientras comíamos, se acercó varias veces preguntándole si habíamos terminado, incluso cuando nuestros platos todavía estaban medio llenos. Fue intrusivo y nos hizo sentir apresurados. Cuando finalmente terminamos, inmediatamente nos preguntó si queríamos la cuenta, apenas nos dio un momento para respirar. A nice setting and the food was satisfactory although a little overpriced for the quality in comparison to similar venues. However, we were very disappointed with the level of service we received. Our first round of drinks orders was forgotten and we had to go up to the bar and order our own throughout the meal. When the meal arrived, it was incorrect, and the response we received was ‘well, this is what I was told’. Furthermore, we asked for additional cauliflower cheese for the vegetable roast, which didn’t come. When we asked for it we were informed that this had already sold out, despite it being taken in our order. As a result, we were informed that our food would be discounted, in which the bill was reduced from £96 to £94. This included a 12.5% service charge, which was still included in the price, despite the poor service we had received throughout. Overall, a disappointing experience.
