We came on the 21st December we was a party of 10 and we wanted a nice Christmas meal. First of all there was no atmosphere to say it’s the 21st just before Christmas nothing we have the set menu for £30 per head. The soup tastes like it came out of a tin the turkey and the veg was horrendous. Turkey was as dry as anything and the vegetables Were cold and Rock hard didn’t taste of anything then we asked the waitress could we order our puddings? She said yes I’ll be back Half an hour we waited until we managed to get older. Somebody who could get our order for puddings that went to cock brought two wrong ones back I’ve eaten before this restaurant and always found it okay but I will never come back and then you have the cheek to put £29 service charge on what a joke. I wouldn’t mind the restaurant Wasn’t even full it wasn’t even half full so I don’t know why they can’t cope getting meals out never again

Been here a few times and the food as always been really good (amazing). But when we went last night the service and the meal was not to the standard we had had before. We got there at 6pm and put in a corner a waitress came to take our drinks and food order about 10 minutes after, the starter was really nice, but then it all went downhill from there. When they came for the plates we asked for another couple of drinks and never got them and then we didn't get our main until about 7.15 and it was dry, like it had been sat waiting for a while to be served. People that came in after us had eaten and left before we got the mains And then to top it all off the table next to us asked for there bill and was given ours, i was shocked when they past it to me. And nobody seem to be bothered when i questioned it.

We visit this restaurant every time we travel up from Bristol to see family in Wakefield . The restaurant is great . The atmosphere is good , staff excellent . You don’t have to book which is helpful . However the food is outstanding . The Ribs are the families favourite . They are delicious . We also had Duck from the specials board which was great . We even ordered a take away extra portion of Ribs to take home back to Bristol . Many thanks to Nigel who looked after us during our meal . We’ve been coming to Rinaldis for 30 years or so . It’s as good as ever . Many thanks

2nd visit for lunch. 1st visit I had the butter chicken baked potato. This time I tried a sandwich. Hard to choose but went for the ham hock cheese and pickle. Bread super soft, ham good qualify and plenty of filling. Came with fries which were very hot and crispy. Quick and friendly service. Will definitely be going back to try something else. Can't rate this place high enough.

As a family party of 10 we booked Christmas dinner here for a 3:30 sit down meal with all the trimmings. The way the tables were set up and decorated was very nice. THE FOOD WAS A DIFFERENT STORY the toast with the ham hock terrine was soft and soggy as though it had been done the day before. There was no finesse with the service either, it was as though the waiting staff had very little idea of what they were doing. When the main course came some of the meal was cold others portions had been cooked to within an inch of it’s existence the turkey well I think it was turkey was from a processed roll joint al be it a generous portion. The roast potatoes had no crunch although my three green beans were ok. The carrots were cold and wrinkled as though they were cooked on a different day. As for gravy everything was completely drowned in gravy why not let people poor there own. My daughter never has gravy but today like it or not you are having it. DESSERT well this was pot luck some of the trifles came in quite large stemmed bowls others in short stubby glasses with half as much. I opted for tiramisu which looked like I had had a piece cut off because another of my party was served a smaller piece the myself. There was absolutely no comparison with any other portion of dessert. For £80 each I thought it was poor, the quality of the food the service and the portions TERRIBLE

Not surprised this restaurant has closed. They describe their cuisine as fine dining but they obviously do not understand what fine dining is. Slow service, dreadful pizza with undercooked dough (how come they can't produce a good pizza in an Italian restaurant?), tough chicken, lukewarm vegetables. Poor choice for vegetarians.

We were a party of 8 celebrating an Engagement & 30th Birthday and were welcomed by friendly helpful staff. The drinks were reasonable, the food was good and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a lovely evening and will definitely go back again.

We phoned to see what time La Gondola was closing at and were told in 2 hours. We arrived 20 minutes later to be told, they were tired of cooking for the day, so were closing up. Never again will I step foot in there. Rude woman.

Ordered two mains which were very bland so very disappointing. The meat was tough and the sauce in both dishes runny and thin. Chips and rice were ok which tbh should be difficult to ruin. Do they have a different chef ?? Not up to their usual high standard unfortunately and ended up throwing most of it away. Strike 1
