The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

We visited the restaurant last night and have to say it was one of the best restaurants we have been to for some time. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely beautiful. Well presented, hot and very tasty. The chef even came out to check we were happy. Haven’t experienced that for a long time. We would certainly recommend the Old Paparazzi. We will definitely be back. Oh, and I have to say, they had the cleanest toilets I have ever seen! Absolutely immaculate.

Simply put this is one of the best places for quality Italian/Sardinian food I’ve been to outside of Italy itself and I’ve been to a few in this country. The food is exemplary and at the price point it’s great value. If you are in Hexham then don’t be put off by its cafe tag or lack of expensive decor. Sit down start with the bruschetta and work down through the main to the dessert and a coffee. You will not be disappointed. We are only in Hexham for a few days and we’ve been twice

Visited La Bocca on the 6th August while I was on Holiday in Cornwall from Manchester...... I had a wonderful evening with some excellent Food that was absolutely delicious, and in a restaurant with great standards and friendly staff that were extremely helpful.....La Bocca has very much become one of my favourite restaurant's and I ensure that I will be visiting again sometime in future when I am next in Cornwall thank you very much once again La Bocca

This was one of the more bizarre visits I have had to a restaurant in many years. Spectacularly diabolical!!! The waiter was nice enough but they were out of half of the already tiny list of dishes on offer. It was like “spam, spam or parmigian”! My mate got some gnocchi straight from the supermarket with some cheese only food stamps would buy (the waiter was nice enough to refund this inedible effort). My order of vitello alla Milanese with patate arroste was a big flat lump of breaded meat from a packet complete with... oven chips!! The whole time we had to listen to some bizarre argument in Spanish and Italian between the cook and the waiter. The subject seemed to be how much the former was being paid- he’s been very fortunate to have ever been paid, from what I can see!!

Went with the family for New year 2024 . There were 8 of us and we all had something different from the menu . The food was absolutely amazing . Great service , good wine and fantastic atmosphere . Came here to try out the ice cream. Had vegan chocolate, absolutely delicious. Nice that there was seating and the staff were super friendly. Would definitely go back to try other flavours.

Locale carino e accogliente, tutti i camerieri sono italiani, buoni i supplì , le pizze (rigorosamente basse come a Roma), molto buona l’amatriciana e i paccheri con la coda alla vaccinara. Un vero peccato non aver incontrato Nicolas il proprietario, sarà per la prossima volta

So pleased that we found this little gem in TW. The outside does not do justice to the authentic high quality food this little family restaurant provides. Lovely, friendly owners who are delighted to talk about their food and history. Its very small so probably need to book for dinner. Give it a try.

La comida era muy agradable y el personal servicial Y muy acogedor Para un pequeño café cerca del palacio y no cobrar por encima de las probabilidades realmente vale la pena una visita.

A friend booked a table here for a before show meal and our meal was lovely and the staff super helpful and very efficient. They have a specials menu which was lovely. Food was fresh and tasted lovely. Will be eating there again when I'm back in London.

My first time at this italians and it was amazing ....i had the arincini and my partner had the prawn cocktail both very good , mains i had meatball tagliatelle which was piping hot and very filling my partner had the sunday roast which she chose lamb as there was no beef left she said her lunch was nice ...I'd defo return ..the girl serving was so polite and nothing was too much trouble .
