The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Four of us visited for our son’s birthday on a midweek evening and were all hugely impressed by the quality of the food and portion size all washed down with a very gluggable Valpolicella. It was a fairly quiet night and yet four different dishes were delivered piping hot in surprisingly good time and at a very reasonable price. We will definitely visit again to try some of the other food from their appetising menu.

Wanted a pizza, it was Friday evening and a long week at work, ordered two pizzas which came with chips, all good so far. The app said to collect at 8.00pm. We arrived at 7.58pm and collected the food. Got home, about a 5 min drive, opened the the food and it was cold. Chips were limp like something from a kebab shop and the pizza, whilst it looked ok to be fair, was bordering cold.

I used to visit this restaurant frequently prior to Covid lockdown. I’ve finally managed to come back again as I always enjoyed the food and the service. I’ve realised this was a big mistake! Poor slow service with only 3 tables that had clients. I was finally the only client but that didn’t make the service faster. I believe it’s under new management? The pizza has been watered down. No glimpse of tomato sauce on magherita pizza. I am really disappointed and I’ll be not coming back here again.

Our 2nd visit here, the last being 2021. Restaurant has a good vibe, staff are friendly and the service is good but the star is the food! I had a “Big Sal” and I can honestly say it was the best pizza I have ever had and I’ve eaten a lot of them! Go here, you won’t be disappointed

Delicious food and a lovely setting. Good value if you do the set lunch menu too. Service could be a little quicker but everyone was very friendly

This is an upmarket cafe, it has a cosy feel. We loved the background music. The service is professional and very friendly. We ordered the platter, absolutely delicious followed by cannoli yum yum yum and coffee .

La comida aquí era estupenda. Mis amigos y yo acabamos de encontrar este lugar en la calle de nuestro hotel y tenía muy buenas críticas, así que nos detuvimos y estamos gratamente sorprendidos de encontrar tan buena comida y tan buen servicio. No puedo recordar los nombres de cada uno de los platos, tengo esta pasta vegetariana con queso de cabra horneado en la parte superior que era muy bueno, pero los ñoquis de mis amigos eran las manos - abajo favorito. Recomiendo encarecidamente el lugar.

We have been 4 times recently and have been so well looked after. We have really enjoyed each meal we've had. The prices of food and drink are very acceptable.

Deliciosa focaccia de salami - una de las mejores que he tenido. Pequeño café encantador - hallazgo brillante. En una calle muy linda.

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience, everything was missing, fork, dishes, drinks took a long time to be served, they took a long time to serve the food, they made a mistake on the point, we asked about the manager, he did not come to talk to us! And he told me that he was new! I've been to other restaurants in the company, I never imagined I would have this service here! Not being able to eat all the meat because it was so horrible! It is frustrating for you to leave a hungry and poorly attended place.

Llamado para agregar otra persona a la reserva, la persona con la que hablé me pidió que esperara, luego desapareció. Me dejó al teléfono durante 20 minutos esperando, y pude escuchar a alguien preguntar por el teléfono, el empleado les dijo algo del estilo de 'déjalo se irán'. Colgué, devolví la llamada, y el teléfono fue contestado por la misma persona, que dijo muy groseramente, que necesitaba llamar en diez minutos. Cancelación de la reserva e ir a otro lugar.

My second recent visit here, the first being 2 of us, last night was 11 of us for a friends special birthday. Liaising with pre-orders was great but flexible for the birthday girl to order on the day. The food was all really good and came together, my calamari starter was one of the best I have had and my King Prawns were massive. Little touches like storing the birthday cake for us went the extra steps. Staff were really friendly. I will be back
