The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Great lunch deal. Cannot beat pasta of the day and wine for £10 in Bristol. Had the chocolate torta for dessert which was divine. Lovely, attentive staff. Very relaxed experience with my baby

This is a really nice cafe. IMO the best coffee in Surbiton and with a nice seating area - which I guess not many people know about. The pastries are easily the best in Surbiton. Bit of a gem.

Wide menu and lots to choose from. Pizzas, pasta and selection of meat dishes. Friendly proprietor. We always have attentive service. Regular visitors

A very charming evening. The staff created a wonderfully warm atmosphere for our family occasion. The food was of a high quality. Thoroughly recommend.

We ordered a takeaway via JustEast and were honestly a little underwhelmed by it all. We went with the steak and chicken mixed kebab, which literally only had a couple of pieces of the meat we ordered and then was for some reason bulked out with doner kebab. The meat was okay, but not great and the side salad pretty limp and drenched in vinegar. We also had sides of chips and halloumi, which again were only okay. I think at £30 it was really overpriced for what we got, not sure I would be in a hurry to order from here in the future.

Sigo volviendo a este lugar. Tiene muchas promesas. La comida es buena y el menú combina los clásicos con un puñado de platos un poco más experimentales. Esta vez tuvimos los panes, aceitunas, bruschetta, plato mixto, burrata, calabaza y queso de cabra, algunas ensaladas y cosas y dos platos de pasta y ragu. Uno de los cuales era el clásico canelón 'alla nonna'. Para mí, los canelones estaban un poco húmedos y demasiado cocidos. El plato mixto de carnes y quesos realmente golpeó el punto, entre otras cosas porque no retuvo la cantidad! En general, grandes sabores, un servicio bueno, amable y servicial y una carta de vinos interesante y bastante decente, aunque un toque caro. La vergüenza era que para cuando entramos en el swing, éramos casi la única gente allí. Muy bien, era una noche de mitad de semana a mediados de noviembre. Sin embargo, el lugar está pensado como un típico italiano de barrio y, por alguna razón, no parecía atraer a los lugareños.

Para aquellos que buscan cocina familiar italiana, es muy recomendable. Recomiendo el antipasti misti y la pizza Calzone Vesuvio (la erupción picante, tamaño XL). Se sirve muy rápido, y los precios son razonables.

Absolutely wonderful food and service. We visited on a Tuesday evening and were warmly welcomed. Our food was of exceptional standard and the service excellent. Such a tremendous surprise.

Why did this place take an on line booking, confirm it,, AND NOT Tell us you were CLOSED!!!! Angry. Cost us a taxi fare and a ruined evening

A pesar de que le dijeron que era el "segundo - mejor restaurante italiano en Leicester", fue una experiencia decepcionante. Las mesas son estrechas; espere trepar por encima de los asientos para llegar a los asientos, pero eso puede aumentar el ambiente si la comida y el servicio son increíbles. Fui el último en recibir el plato principal. Servicio descuidado o vengativo, no puedo decir. Para ser justos, cuando finalmente tuve algo de comer, la principal fue una pizza perfectamente buena y auténtica.   No puede decirse lo mismo del postre. El tiramisú no era el café - dulce empapado que he disfrutado en otros lugares. Era un vaso lleno de esponja casi seca, crema y un dragado de cacao en polvo. Sin capas, sin sabor. Si no hubiera estado en una fiesta de gente que no conozco tan bien, habría hecho que el segundo plato volviera a la cocina. Lamentablemente, dos platos deficientes con un servicio grosero y descuidado no compensan una buena pizza.

Esta es una encantadora cafetería italiana retro y cafetería. Está cerca de la estación de metro Putney Bridge. Vinimos a comer algo antes de ver al Southampton jugar en Fulham (está a unos 15 minutos a pie del suelo). Tuvimos un generoso y sabroso desayuno inglés completo y un delicioso café con leche. Servicio amable y una gran relación calidad-precio.

It started with a guy doing balloons in the car outside and ended with a drug deal in the middle of the road as we were pulling away. Not the restaurants fault to be fair but it gives you the idea of what a sh*t hole the area is. Now the food. Carbonara was bland , beef rags over cooked and dry and pizza was average but a bit light on toppings. 1 st impressions was to leave wish we had. It was recommended by a guy I play football with. DC thanks mate it’s a carsey ! Never give me a recommendation again please.

Since it has been taken over it is so much better. The food is really good especially the fry ups, lemon drizzle cake and carrot cake 😊 Great coffee too!

Staying in hotel near by so had dinner here on a Friday night. The service was excellent and very friendly, the wine paired perfectly with my dinner (the duck ragu), and the pasta was the best I’ve had outside of Rome. I highly recommend this restaurant and although dining on my own I can imagine it would be a lovely place to share with friends.
