Food came quite quickly and was fairly nice, mostly. Price is absolutely insane and they add a big tip for themselves on the bill and put it's "optional' in tiny text next to it. The place is kept alive by tourists and hipsters and it really shows. If you think you deserve a 10 pound tip for 40 minutes of very ordinary service move to the USA. Won't be coming back.

Dined here multiple times over the last two years, always for dinner. A unique atmosphere, easy to talk, high ceilings and windows allow for a relaxing dinner. Menu changes, and quite adventurous, same for the wine list. Always enjoyable, my personal favorite in Bristol.

Went to this restaurant as part of a weekend away to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Loved it. The restaurant has a lovely feel to it, staff are really pleasant and attentive, didn't even have to top my own water glass up. The food was exquisite. We were served by the nicest man, he was good enough to take our photo, will definitely back

Loved the cookie dough... must try! It was so delicious! I have had their gelato and sundae before and I love that too! Nice ambience. Prompt service. Friendly staff. Updating review after a special experience- I just popped in for a loaded donought and enquired at the counter if they had any offers or birthdays discounts at the moment (coz I've heard they usually have some offers or freebies) . They said there wasn't any offer going on now. However, the staff still gave me a free sundae as a warm and lovely gesture wishing me happy birthday! That was extremely extremely sweet and made my day sweeter! Thank you :) ❤️ needless to say, it was all delicious.

I recently visited Bamalan for their bottomless brunch and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Several issues during our visit left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. 1. Unnotified Menu Change: Upon arrival, we discovered the menu had changed, but there were no prior notifications on the website or in the restaurant. This felt misleading, as we had specifically chosen this brunch based on the items from the previous menu. 2. Poor Service: The service was extremely disappointing. Our waitress was rude and dismissive, often walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to order. Despite being the only table in the venue, we felt completely ignored. She seemed more focused on preparing for a private function than attending to us, which made us feel like an inconvenience. We even had to shout to get her attention, which was both frustrating and embarrassing. 3. Venue Closed Upon Arrival: We were left standing outside upon arrival because the venue was closed, despite having a reservation. This lack of communication and disorganization was unprofessional. 4. Unpleasant Environment: The atmosphere was further disrupted when staff began dragging bins past our table before we had even placed our order. This completely ruined the ambiance and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. 5. Unresolved Concerns: When we tried to address our issues upon leaving, the staff seemed too preoccupied with preparing for a private event to listen. It was clear we were not a priority, and we left feeling like an inconvenience. Overall, this experience was far below expectations and not worth the money spent. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving both service and customer care. I have sent an email addressing these issues but have yet to receive a response.
