The best restaurants serving Mexican food in England

We visited on a Saturday evening at 5.15pm as a table of 6, plus a baby. The service was impeccable and everyone was friendly and smiley. Unfortunately overall the food was dire. Our starters were actually very good, so we were looking forward to a great meal. For starters across the table we had mixed calamari, baked honeyed cheese and chicken wings - all piping hot and very tasty. The main courses were where it all started to go downhill. Two of us had ordered mixed fajitas. The came out with no sizzle, which the waiter apologised for and said that the iron plate were very hot. The reason for the lack of sizzle became obvious as we were eating them. The chicken was bland and the onions and pepper slimy. It tasted as if they had all been boiled up together before being slopped onto the platter. The steak was tough as old boots and barely chewable. The king prawns weren’t bad, but a bit overcooked so a little dry. One of us had ordered a chicken burger. This came out absolutely stone cold. Not just a little bit cold as if it had been left too long after cooking, rather as if it had just come out of the fridge and been placed on a bun. We sent it back and another burger came out again within 2 minutes, which felt a little bit suspicious as if it had just been microwaved. The chicken again was completely bland, but it had been smothered in a chilli sauce to disguise the fact. No one was happy with their food and everyone left parts of their meal for one reason or another. For desert, we ordered churros grande, which tasted salty and not even a hint of cinnamon. The ‘warm’ brownie was cold- again just out of the fridge. We let our waitress know, who was very apologetic and the brownie was removed from the bill, but overall for a meal that cost £300 this was a real disappointment. Every other restaurant we visited in Center Parcs over the same weekend was great, but I wouldn’t recommend this one until they sort out their kitchen staff.

Went with my wife and adult children and we had a great lunch. We ordered virtually everything on the menu and everything tasted great and we all had a different favourite. Huge shout out to the Mac N Cheese and the Birria Tacos were the best thing ever… one of our group is Veggie and I tried some of the veggie options and they were also great.. Moving onto the Beer 👍. Lots of choice and this is a craft Beer venue so lots to try. Also a selection of craft IPA’s and Cider and again we tried to try all of them but failed but the ones we tried again were excellent. Big shout out to the team as they were really attentive and the Barman especially was especially on the ball. It is possible to walk past this place and it does have a relaxed look and not a fine dining experience however I feel they nailed the atmosphere / decoration etc…. and I will certainly return and will highly recommend

Fantastic Mexican, best restaurant in New Romney, went for the Texas BBQ evening last Saturday, brisket, BBQ ribs, pork, pickles and sides served on a tray, so tasty, and a couple of Pina Colada cocktails, what's not to like, cant wait to return,

This is the third time we have ordered takeaway from here and it’s about time to post a review…this place is amazing, the food is out of this world and the service and delivery speed excellent. Thank you and we will be ordering again very soon!!!

Came here for a family birthday meal, it was my first time but some in our party have been several times. It was amazing. The best Mexican food I have had for years. Everyone in the group had something different and all loved what they had, not a bad dish ordered. Will 100% visit here again. Very reasonably priced as well.

Popped in for lunch, food was fresh with good sized portions. The downside was that instead of cuts of beef in the wrap there was a cut up burge. Music was be very loud so you couldn't hear the member of staff very well and was we left we said thank you and goodbye and there was no response, we were the only ones in there so not busy so customer service not fantastic.

Came for a birthday with group of people, opening time says till 8pm we arrived at 4.30pm and was closed, very disappointing, whole reason we came to truro, ruined night please change opening times on Google

Great place for a chill, food is lovely and local discount card on offer

The products that these people grow and sell are superb. This is a range of chilli peppers from all over the world including the spiciest ever called the Reaper chilli, the sauce of which is famed as the hottest in the world! We bought some and boy does it live up to its reputation! Quite expensive, worth it and thank you

The chicken here is so good and full of flavour. I think we have ordered most of the menu now. The burrito boxes are huge and great for take away and everything is always packaged perfectly. I really love this place and as others have said it’s Stafford hidden gem. Go eat there :) or order take out.

Great little mexican place, lovely Burritos and Nachos, friendly staff. Very quiet when we went, so tricky to say much about the atmosphere but lovely nonetheless.

With both starters and mains, extremely tasty and well cooked food. This is the best Mexican Resturant in the area by far. Very small but cosy venue.

Ordered a burrito and it was literally the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth. the tortilla was soggy yet the inside was dry and cold, the rice wasn't cooked, the beans were gritty and there was hardly any sour cream in it making it dryer than the Sahara desert and it was overall tasteless. I was so excited since id never ate a burrito before but this was very disappointing and I felt like crying when I received this dry favourless piece of crap, chucked it straight in the bin. I ordered this nearly a year ago now, yet this 'burrito' still haunts my dreams and I felt inclined to write this review many months later. Run far way from this restaurant and don't turn back.

Disappointed with the experience. The most glaring issue was that the food was served cold. I had ordered a burrito and some tacos, expecting them to be hot and flavorful, but they arrived at my table barely warm. This significantly affected the taste and overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, the staff were surprisingly rude. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome. The person taking my order seemed impatient and uninterested in answering my questions about the menu. When I politely mentioned that my food was cold, the response was dismissive and lacked any effort to rectify the situation.
