Brilliant experience...strongly recommended...friendly staff, nothing too much trouble..prices reasonable

I visited these tearooms with my daughters on Friday 24th May. I have been to other tea shops in Bakewell, but Toscas is by far the best. We had afternoon tea for three of us, we sat outside in the court yard. The afternoon tea arrived and there was lots of lovely cake and sandwiches, beautifully presented, and our host friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We really enjoyed our afternoon tea, very civilised, we will defiantly be visiting again. In fact we will have a day out to bakewell just to visit Toscas .

A really fantastic Sunday lunch. The roast dinner was top quality (of course, with meat from Derbyshire's finest butchers at New Close Farm). The starters were also wonderful - I opted for the glazed pork belly with Gochujang sauce, which is one of the best dishes I have had in a long time. All washed down with a lovely bottle of wine. Service was great throughout and the decor was nice.

Stopped in for a drink while wandering round Bakewell. Nice and warm, good atmosphere, lovely service.

My wife and I stopped here for a late breakfast/early lunch during our third visit to Bakewell over the last few years. I had a breakfast and my wife had a Tuna Sandwich. The breakfast was as good as one could hope for, freshly cooked and quite a platefull. Tuna sandwich was delicious and very filling. Served with a pot of tea for two, all for under £20. The service was equally good and I would recommend this establishment to all.

A lovely café run by Nick, who gave us a lovely warm greeting and then set about delivering drinks and mince pies to the eight of us in an unflustered fashion. A lovely café stop.

Decided to have dinner in the restaurant as we had an overnight stay in the hotel.Not a big menu but enough choice.Food was well cooked and of good quality. Decent sized portions that came on hot plates. For dessert we had the bakewell pudding that...

Came across this pub/hotel following a walk. Fantastic views and scenery. Great selection of beers and food was excellent and the staff and service was faultless. Would recommend a trip

What a disappointment!! Soup burnt my mouth Toastie was 9.45 for two poor pieces of bread, very little tasteless filling and dry salad Water is from Costco and charged at £1.95! Female staff member had no hospitality skills and after telling her I was underwhelmed, no apology or manager came over even after telling them I burnt my mouth! Won't be back. I recommend Chakra instead

The original Bakewell Pudding Restaurant isn't a place to capture in words. It's a must-visit and sin in. Go for it as there isn't a second place like that on planet Earth.

Very nice lunch today. Lovely seated by the fire as the waiter said we would enjoy the warmth! Quick friendly service and a healthy portion of Tuna to go with my jacket potato. Polite and friendly will certainly come again.

Lovely little cafe with excellent food and good service perfect for a lovely lunch. I had the Bacon and Brie Oat cake was delicious. Will visit again next time in Bakewell

Purchased a 99 and one for my partner from the van £10 what a rip off when challenged answered very arrogant it is Bakewell and I pay £40,000 for pitch. Rubbish ice cream and even worse service. Never again.
