The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Chipping Ongar, Greensted and Marden Ash Epping Forest East of England

We had a table of 8 for my 70th Birthday celebrations and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. I was a little apprehensive but as soon as I met Katherine (Owner) prior to our booking i was immediately drawn to the place. In regard to the food everything I ask for came out onto the table the food was amazing it was so delicious. We chose a Meze starter followed by Salmon, Shish Chicken and Lamb Skewers with the most delicious salads and vegetables and flat breads to die for, we also had Gorgeous Pavlova and a very varied Cheese Board for dessert the presentation was lovely, I honestly think Katherine old mke a boiled egg look pretty. Our food was served by Peter who assisted Catherine and he makes a very good Waiter. There was nothing we could fault and we definitely will be returning hopefully in the not too distant future. Despite living in Ongar I had never actually been here before, but I will definitely be back. After the Ongar Deli closed a number of years back we’ve always driven out of Ongar for breakfast/ brunch / lunch as in my opinion there aren’t any decent options. So pleased to have found this spot for a nice easy brunch, good menu, no fuss, perfect!

Wow, seriously amazing burgers, out done places like Hard rock cafe. 5 of us had different meals from the menu all great.

Absolutely shocking service, I've been eating here for years and always found the staff kind and attentive, especially Felicity. On my last visit with my 11 year old daughter, I didn't have a booking, there were plenty of tables available, and I was told that it wasn't a problem. We were taken to a table and left waiting for 30 minutes, not even asked for a drinks order. Despite trying to attract the attention of one of the two staff that were just swanning around they simply ignored us until I got up to leave. At this point she waived and said thanks for coming?? I told the staff member that the service was shocking and that we had been ignored for 30 minutes, the reply was 'well you didn't even have a booking'. She was more concerned on prancing around the wreath making table! Despite 7 years, I won't be going back. Shame Really.

Only thing I can say, don’t go, I’m no cook but I reckon I could of done better, waited 35 minutes and to get served below average breakfast very disappointing, even bread and but was hard,

Found here by accident.Driving back from Cambridge and decided to stop for late Sunday lunch.Excellent food lovely surprise to find such a beautiful property.Have a gazebo so also can cater for weddings/larger parties

I met up with an old mate of many years in Ongar and we were looking for somewhere to get a drink and a bite and we wandered into the two Brewers. We were welcomed by the staff who were really friendly as it seemed were the regulars in there and it was a lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food really lovely and served with a smile. The drinks were plentiful in choice and priced very fairly. I can certainly recommend a visit and I will have no hesitation going back when I am next in the area.
