The cafe has been closed for a few months. It was eventually sold to new owners. They are refurbishing it at present.

Great place to catch up and have eats and coffee. Will be back. Coffee alway great so is service. It's always a great place to meet.

"Amazing pizzas" That was my previous 5-star review. I've eaten many now and they remain amazing. However, they have a weekday special where any pizza from the menu is £10.95 and I feel this is disingenuous because, on those nights, they make the pizzas smaller. So I'm downgrading to a 4-star review. If you're going to run a special offer, compare like with like

Desserts were okay bit too chocolatey but a concern. Delivery driver tried to get my little boy to pay again at door despite us paying online! Luckily my son had checked with me or he would have got some cash to pay again!!

Great pub and well worth a visit. The host Nigel and his team offer a great friendly service with a good range of beers and spirits. Welcoming real fire and an atmosphere that allows you to have a good conversation with friends and locals. The food is very good and very well priced. All the food is home produced. (no frozen ready made stuff) and the portion sizes will satisfy the largest of appetites. Get yourself to the Ruddy Duck, you won't be disappointed.

Just had Sunday Lunch in the Blue Boar. They have only recently started serving food again. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had roast beef which was perfectly cooked , tasted amazing and great value. The cauliflower cheese was to die for. Congratulations to the Chef and staff. A great addition to the village.

We live 25 mile away from this pub but love coming here. From the minute we were are greeted at the door, everything runs smoothly. Each member of staff is polite and helpful. Cannot stress enough how much we enjoy our visits. We had the Festive menu for 7 of us (we were the only table within that time slot who did) for this family get together (ages 13 to 62). Food was great value for money and good quality. Just wish we live closer to visit more often... Thank you

Last week I visited this pub with my family and the service and food was excellent. Thank you to Loti who made our visit special, we will definitely be returning.

He estado antes y era ridículamente lento, así que no lo ha sido, pero como estaba en el hotel solo por trabajo pensé que volvería a intentarlo, aún así el servicio espantoso, tardé 5 minutos para que alguien viniera e incluso me sentara. Esperé más de 40 minutos antes de pagar mi bebida y salir, no había más de 4 mesas en todo el pub. Al decirles que no tenían ni una palabra que decir al respecto. Mala gestión y personal deficiente. Necesito una revisión seria.

A lo largo del evento, Lotte fue una presencia inestimable: amable, atenta y siempre dispuesta a hacer un esfuerzo adicional para garantizar que nuestras necesidades se satisficieran. Su excepcional servicio y dedicación son una de las principales razones por las que reservaremos nuestro próximo evento en Lakeside Kitchen and Bar sin dudarlo. Muy recomendable!

A member of our party dines here (with a group) fairy often and has positive feedback, but I think on this occasion it was not very good. The others will return but I won't because I didn't think it was good value for money. The food arrived 5 minutes after ordering, which gives the impression it wasn't cooked but rather, re-heated. The server(s) rushed it down and ran off (literally) and we had to ask them back to order a drink. The room they put us in was very loud, the children & toddlers didn't help but that's more to do with the parents than the restaurant. Food was a bit bland and the burger was not very good at all, but the chips were very nice. I think for the money, it would have been nice to have received a cooked to order meal rather than a re-heated ready meal. The lady server was kind enough to listen to our feedback and she did pass it on to the manager, who promptly charge full price, and we were not in the mood to discuss it further so no problem. Probably they could do better but with other places offering better quality, I would rather not give it a second go. Shame.

Popped in with my daughter and granddaughter for lunch. Staff were willing to mix and match a couple of items on the menu to create a little meal for my granddaughter which was appreciated. Food was tasty and served quickly. Couldn’t find a baby changing facility. Possibly could have been one in the disabled toilet but that was locked up. Had to change baby in cubicle which wasn’t ideal. Still happy with our visit and will return.

Desayuné todo el día y mi esposa tomó una ciabatta. Todo era agradable y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Mi única crítica fue que no había hongos, pero eso es gusto personal.
