The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Whitton Waveney East of England

I've visited 142 a few times and had very different experiences depending on whether the owner was present. When she's there, it's lovely - good food, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent service. The owner clearly cares about her customers and creates a warm environment that makes you want to return. Unfortunately, the experience is much less enjoyable when the owner isn't around. The staff seem disinterested and unwelcoming, giving the impression they’d rather not have customers there. During our most recent visit, we didn’t even make it through the door. When we asked if there were any spare seats upstairs, the staff member hesitated before dismissively saying, “Erm, no,” and letting us leave without much effort to accommodate us or suggest alternatives. It’s disappointing to see such a stark contrast in customer service depending on who’s working. I think the owner should be made aware of this issue—it’s a shame that her efforts are undermined by staff who don’t share the same enthusiasm.

Lovely food and great service--we had a delicious dover sole and an equally great pasta dish with prawn and lobster. Highly recommend.

What a cracking little place to eat, don’t be deceived with the exterior inside a very smart establishment. Prompt and very friendly service. The lasagna was immense and so tasty whilst the burgers weren’t your average burger, there was meat in there. We were in Oulton B-road with a day boat and found this place after been in the park. Go try you won’t be disappointed.

The Quays cafe is right along the southern gateway to the broads. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good service and drinks along with cakes etc. The views are amazing . Oulton Broad is a well known as a thriving centre for watersports, with powerboat racing, canoeing and its Thursday night speed boat racing. Could spend a time just watching the boats etc ,but this is a great place to stop.
