Lovely coffee in London's Paddington area

Atmosphere low?? It was nearly closing time. However, big shout to the manager for ensuring correct hand hygiene practices are followed. Thank you Hanifa, you were mopping the floor when I came in, said hi to acknowledge me and then promptly washed your hands properly and dried them on paper towel. Top marks for hygiene, I hope your manager see this. It's SO important. I walk out of places if I witness poor hand hygiene. I pass by frequently and will revisit thanks to your actions. 👍👍

The service was horrible, the lady that supposed to be a barista is not welcoming and not capable to prepare a simple espresso macchiato.

Divertido para almorzar en una barcaza en la cuenca de Paddington. Genial tener elección de almuerzo o brunch ya que estaba fuera a cenar más tarde. Comida y servicio tanto bueno, rápido y amable.

Sadly very unhelpful rude service. This place is sadly struggling with lack of staff. Those that are there are struggling to keep up with the orders. I waited patiently to be served only to be told he was heading to the kitchen to cook and I’d have to wait a further 20 mins before he’d even take my order. I get that he was short staffed and feel very sorry for this , but there is a way to say things and deal with customers. Especially after having stood there for so long and especially locals (as I am). Sadly won’t bother going again. Needs some proper management and a bit of customer service training. Food usually good once you get served though.

We had a flat white from this branch of the chain and it was a little hot maybe but still a very good cup of coffee. Prices are a bit higher than some other places.

Firstly Caffe Nero is my hands down favourite of the Big Four coffe chains, and this branch is 100% undoubtedly the best of the bunch! The staff are super polite and anticipate all my needs and more, going above the call of duty, every time. It has become like a second home when I am in central London. Perfect for hot-desking, business meetings, a quick bite, a lazy lunch or just relaxing Very impressed with the atmosphere and music as well which makes for an all round excellent experience. And lastly as a solo customer I feel like my possessions are 100% safe when I go outside for a phonecall or to the toilet. Ten out of ten!

I stopped at Juva U and ordered an American coffee just to rest because I have a broken foot and I walk with a crutch so I sat on the terrace and there the waiter came to my table. Asked to leave aggressively in front of other customers. ..he explains to me that these places are for those who smoke shisha... while there was no one there, 2 tables occupied the rest is completely empty!! so I explained to him that I only wanted to stay 5 minutes because my foot hurt and that if there were customers arriving, I would leave the place immediately... but he didn't want to know anything so he told me refunded! you can’t imagine the humiliation in front of people! I often come to this cafe but frankly there has been a big change since then, this waiter is unpleasant and he has no sense of humanity.

Was en route to Swindon and managed to get a brunch at Upper Crust here in Paddington. Lovely service all round and a special mention to the host, Lydia. Thanks for the extra tissue. It came in handy with my blocked nose.
