We had a lovely hot chocolate at Riley's on the Rows. It had an unspecified nutty flavour but was very pleasant. The decor inside is very British. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. However, there were some stacked chairs and a bit of a mess, which would have benefited from a bit of tidying up. The table wasn't clean and there was also a smell of cigarettes in the room due to the smoking area not being closed.

Proper old school boozer! Big screens showing sport, Guinness ÂŁ3.70 in July 2024, and everyone having a good time. Jukebox belting out all sorts and good craic from the locals. Love it!

This place is a real gem, delicious food, very friendly staff and it's dog friendly too. The menu selection is great but even if it's coffee and cake you're looking for, you'll be spoilt for choice.

I love the milkbar so clean and friendly. Did you know itâs the last milkbar in the hole of the Country, it used to be a franchise that was all over The UK, but now the one in Ellesmere Port is the last one saying not dining in a really friendly cafĂ© youâre dining in a bit of mods and rockers history.

A huge hidden gem in Chester that has the most welcoming atmosphere, a very safe place for everyone, amazing milkshakes & free board games to play. My son attends nearly every Saturdays, mainly to play PokĂ©mon, but also to socialise with some amazing people! Geek retreat is for everyone, so if youâre in Chester pop in, grab a board game & chill for a bit with a yummy latte⊠they also have âfreeâ colouring for children too! The team are awesome also, whatâs not to love :)

We were due to stop here in our campervan overnight (EHU available with a 3 pin adaptor) but got flooded in at the previous site at New Years! So as the landlord was so lovely with us on the phone, we decided to at least call in on our way home and have lunch instead! The food was fabulous, very large portions and the owners are as lovely as they are on the phone!! There is so much going on here - live music, Burns night at the end of the month, folk events, car boots weather permitting and books and board games inhouse to borrow - this place is a little gem and well worth a visit! Dogs are not just tolerated but actively welcomed with spare doggy blankets and a hamper full of doggy treats to purchase at really reasonable prices! We will most definitely be back to this lovely place and bring as many friends as we can, this establishment deserves to do well!

Excellent food and friendly service. There were 5 of us for dinner. It is a small plates menu so we ordered one of everything from the menu. The food was very good, especially the aubergine dish which was delicious! The gentleman serving us was lovely and the whole atmosphere was very friendly. It was somewhere that I had wanted to go for a while and will definitely be going back.

Quiet and dark light, very comfortable and relaxed. You can bring in your own food and have a glass or bottle. The best thing is the staff talk to âaboutâ wine and teach you things rather than showing off about what they know and being snooty about wine. A great little find .
