Nice place for food and selection of beers. I had the meal deal of burger with chips and a pint of beer for £16, great value and a tasty cheese burger with bacon. Friendly service.

Absolutely devasted to hear the news of this place closing down permanently! It was our regular spot while living at Lockside Lane for a whole year, we loved the food, loved the beers and loved the atmosphere, our pooch loved it there too! I’m glad SevenBro7hers is still running at other locations at least, because they’re a really great business overall. Lots of great memories at this place. They had a collage of Polaroid photos of all the dogs who visited, which they called the “wall of dogs” and it was such a lovely touch. Please open a new spot in Fallowfield! The students around here would love it! All good things must come to an end, I suppose… such a shame. Thank you for hosting us!

Came in for 1 of the legendary cocktails early afternoon. Quite quiet so atmosphere was not great. Bar staff and waiter staff were friendly enough. Irish cocktail was very good but served in a small jug? Quirky indeed but not cheap at £11 each!

Great cask beers at bargain price on weekdays up to 6 o'clock.Superb music playlist and great chat with barman.

Booked easily online, my table preferences were honoured, everything clean and tidy, staff were polite, courteous and friendly. The menu options offered something for everyone. We had the veggie breakfast which was the best I have ever had. I would definitely recommend coal and cotton to friends, family and colleagues.

A lovely place to have some lunch. The food, the staff and coffee are lovely and a cut above anything else in this area. A wonderful stainglass window creates a lovely light inside. Such a shame to learn it's going and I wish the staff the best of luck because they are all great.

We enjoyed an amazing meal, we had the lamb and steak, both cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Service was fast and friendly. I like the calm, quiet atmosphere of blacksticks.

I came in in the evening on a saturday for some after work drinks The landlord was in and was hammered, causing scenes (it was his stag due from what Ive been told, stopping the music, starting on customers and doing some speeches infront of everyone) I understand its a big day but most certainly it is not a professional look. The place seemed like a free-for-all with no security.

Literally the best cafe in the area don’t waste your time anywhere else worked here for months an tried them all!

Coffee is nice but what is with the new interior? It’s horrendous. Looks like the main aim is for people not to feel cosy enough to stay longer than needed. And why do I HAVE TO have my coffee in take away cup? Would pick a different coffee shop next time.

Estoy muy agradecido de ser recibido tan amablemente. . Sus cafés son preciosos. Me aseguraré de llamar si alguna vez paso.

Do not rely on taking a dog into every Costa. The company policy is not to allow them, so after being welcomed on one occasion, on a later occasion,after already collecting our food and my partner finding a secluded table for our quiet elderly border collie, a junior member of staff was sent to ask us to leave. We're in our 70s and mind my daughter's dog because of her ME/CFS and this wasn't even a quiet surreptitious "I'm sorry..." but a loud head turning "I'm afraid you'll have to leave as you can't bring a dog in here!" I'll NEVER willingly choose to give Costa any business as a result.

Called in as we had an issue with our accommodation booking nearby. The staff were so lovely & friendly. We had a couple of drinks whilst we tried to resolve our issues & they were brilliant in helping us to find alternative accommodation for the night. Didn’t have chance to dine but the menu looked amazing! Wish this was my local! Thanks again x
