Always welcomed into Bon Viveur by helpful and happy staff who are always polite. Good value coffee and quality cooked snacks. Happy to return whenever I can.

I came in on my lunch break to quickly grab a drink and lunch. I ordered a vanilla frap with added java chips, which is something I order quite frequently. A Barista handed me my drink and i was immediately surprised by the color of it because it was a completely different color than what I usually get when I order the same thing. I asked her to double check, “this is a vanilla frappachino with java chips, correct?” and she said “yes!” and i said “oh right okay, it just looks like a completely different colour” and she didn’t say anything else. I headed back to work and started my drink just to find that it is indeed not the drink i ordered, it’s a chocolate base frapp with the java chips. It’s way too sweet and rich and just annoyingly not what I asked for. I understand mistakes happen but I’m frustrated that I double checked with the barista and she told me it was right when it wasn’t. Attached are pictures of the very chocolately frap I received today compared to pictures of the normal vanilla frap with added java chips. One is very obviously vanilla, one is very obviously chocolate.

20 minutes in queue, ordered special Christmas menu, 20 minutes later told they sold out, made another choice. Staff friendly but took ages. Being Saturday was busy.

I was in this store on 09.12.2024 and as I stood in the queue I watched Kai playing with his hair whilst making people’s drinks and serve their food. The last straw was drawn when Kai paused to dig his ear whilst making another customers drink. I asked for a managed and was alerted by the trainer that Kai was the manager. I asked Kai very politely to come to the end of the counter where other customers couldn’t hear me raise the above concerns. To my surprise Kai was not concerned with what I was saying and he proceeded to ask me ‘What do you want me to do, I have a queue of people waiting’. I told him to wash his hands and continue serving his customers, but highlighted that his behaviour was inappropriate and that I would be making a formal complaint. I am appalled that this is being done in a food establishment and I assure you that I will NEVER return to your MK store again. The only positive is that I was served by a trainee Alex B who was polite, got my order correct and was very attentive to detail. Kai the manager has absolutely no business being a manager or working in this industry as his hygiene leaves more than a lot to be desired; Kai could clearly learn from his trainees or junior colleagues as they certainly showed him up!

Blimey, where do I even start? We recently went here for breakfast, as they’d finally brought back their full English breakfasts. We used to love coming here for breakfast, but it’s truly gone down hill in recent years. Which is such a massive shame. The server was rude and abrupt, and honestly looked like she’d rather be anywhere else than there (which, to be honest… I’d of been the same) The app was broken, so couldn’t order online - which wasn’t great as they’re severely understaffed. After ordering we waited nearly 25 for our coffee, which was basically just warm milk. Food, well we wondered where our food was for a while, despite the constant dinging of the service bell from the kitchen for over 7 minutes, which everyone could hear apart from the servers. We could clearly see our food getting colder by the minute. Our food arrived stone cold, slimed potatoes , rubbery eggs. In the end we sent back our food and quickly got out of there. Can’t forget the great ambient music played by a workers phone, which probably wasn’t very family friendly or radio edits. Honestly, they had no organisation, sugar from bowls with table spoons that was passed around from table to table, no clear management making sure things were done. I did wonder what was so fascinating in the customer toilets, cause most employees went in there 3/4 times during the 45 minutes we were there. Definitely will not be returning. Thank goodness.

My wife and I are keen supporters of the high street and we always shop on the high street than shop online where possible. However, my wife was wrongly accused of shoplifting yesterday at the M&S store in midsummer boulevard, Milton Keynes, when she was in the alcohol aisle and she spilt some water on the floor. She did the decent thing to clean this up and instead of m&s security asking if she was ok, they suspected and accused her of shoplifting of alcohol (without any evidence) as we exited the store. The manager at the time, Lucy, showed lack of customer service skills and didn’t even acknowledge how we were feeling and no apologies but excuses that they do spot checks . It took 10mins to get an apology from the security guard who was at fault and nothing from Lucy. If this the way people are treated then this is why online shopping is far better and people are not being judged of looking like criminals as they walk into a shop. M&S - you can learn some customer service skills from other leading brands who do it better. You have lost a long standing customer!

When Debenhams changed the style of it's cafe offering, they seemed to have really taken it up market. Standards, particularly those of the staff, had rocketed and although I reckon a lot of folks wouldn't have liked the improvements (old habits die hard), I and many others did.Unfortunately the honeymoon period has clearly passed and this visit was less that satisfactory.Tables littered when we arrived, checkout system slow and food no longer quite as classy as it previously has been.Ordering soup and a jacket potato, we took our seats and waited on it's arrival. After about 10 minutes, the buzzer flashed (they use an electronic table ID system) and we waited expectently for the food to arrive. Nothing! Thinking that perhaps they had changed the system and we should go back to collect it, I headed to the till point. Could see both items sitting under the heat lights but was advised that it would be brought over.Returning, we seemed to wait for ages before the Baked Potato arrived. Putting it down, the waitress advised me that my wife's soup would be following. I was about halfway through my meal as she passed us with two more baked potatoes for another table. Almost finished my meal, the soup finally arrived - along with appologies for the delay.The baked potato was packed with filling but frankly, was mildly warm rather than hot whereas my wife did say her soup was very hot (maybe it was thanks to the time under the heat lights). The salad accompanying it was poor and really only represented compliance with a menu description, certainly not adding to the value of the meal.A real disappointment which left me feeling that Debenhams have allowed their cafe to begin to sink to the depths of the old one which would be a real shame.

This review is not about the Milton Keynes Store - I’m sure it’s fine… It’s about my on line shopping experience - I live in Milton Keynes area - I ordered over £270 worth of goods - clothing / paid for next day delivery received 1 items out of 10…. they paid the EXpress charge back but I am still Missing 9 items out of the order. They use Evri it is now 10 days way beyond standard delivery either Evri which is supposed to be up to 7 days.. I can see from tracking goods have not been delivered anywhere at all though Evri received them. Evri say if goods undelivered within 7 days contact original supplier you ordered goods with. I have rung M & S customer service line twice… I’ve written st least 4 emails…, I ordered the hoods for a business trip coming up This week…. They have not fulfilled their contract they ought to Refund me instead of fobbing me off with their internal investigation. Their courier company is their issue not mind - I haven’t received the goods therefore they should refund me instead of stalling. I would have reordered some of the items anyway but time is running out… We have always shopped with M & S in store and on line and always in past been Happy with them. They seem to Have gone downhill and their customer service agents seem poor and poorly trained and email Responses poor not very professional. Very bad disappointing experience. I would not recommend on line shopping with them.
