A real GEM in the centre of Reading. Picnic never fails to delight, truly delicious food , life changing cakes ( we ate salad box #1 with feta, lentils, salad leaves and broccoli with a bright kick of chimmichuri and WONDEROUS cinnamon cake thank you for asking) and the best coffee in Reading, bar none. Comfortable, relaxed and friendly atmosphere with excellent staff who can’t help but make you smile. Go once, go often. You won’t regret it,

The place is quite rundown. We asked for dumplings which they didn't have so we ordered something different. The portions were small and quite expensive.

Asked for a coffee and was told to wait outside whilst they made it! Oh cheers. Also they leave all there waste by the public bins, not even in them! Encouraging vermin and general mess

Delicious bagels, great choice and now a choice of bagels too! Great staff, very friendly and the coffee's good too… what’s not to like!

El servicio era pobre Esperé a que me sirvieran para beber y la señora detrás del mostrador ni siquiera se me acercó ni siquiera me miró por completo ignorándome no estaría viniendo aquí agin.

Ha pasado un tiempo desde que visité aquí - mirando encantador después de la extensión. Mucho más espacio. Estaba triste que no pudiera pedir mi baguette de brie & bacon favorita, pero me consolé con una taza y finalmente me decidí por Eggs Benedict. Como quería que 'fuera', amablemente aceptaron mi solicitud de ella en un baño, me dieron un poco de holandesa extra para sobrevivir al viaje en bicicleta a casa ... y el tocino se cocinó a la perfección (extra crujiente, tal como había pedido) Super sabroso. También pidió un par de sus propios brownies de chocolate, y wow ... textura y sabor perfectos, la cantidad justa de gooey con grandes trozos de chocolate. ¡No puedo publicar ninguna foto ya que no podía esperar a comerme todo! Como muchos afirman, no el más barato, pero NO sobreprecio y francamente muy razonable teniendo en cuenta lo bien que sabe. Calidad! : )

Fuimos recibidos calurosamente y el nivel de servicio y atención continuó durante nuestra (relativamente corta) visita. Atractivo, pero nunca demasiado. Una señorita MUY bien informada, pero no pretenciosa, nos dio excelentes recomendaciones, que siempre se adaptaban perfectamente a nuestros gustos e instrucciones, sin ser guiada automáticamente a los vinos más caros. Si buscas un buen vino y un buen servicio, solo puedo recomendarte que pruebes este lugar y NO Veeno a la vuelta de la esquina. Saldrá muy feliz (en lugar de sentirse frustrado con la actitud del personal hosco que tiene una opinión demasiado elevada de sí mismo). Un gran tic y un retorno definitivo de los dos. Gracias. Lovely bar , would recommend very tasty cocktails. Lina was the best bar lady and very accommodating! Would recommend if you are in town!

Stumbled across this today and was very pleasantly surprised. The food and service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable too. Would heartily recommend.

One of the best coffees I’ve had in a long time! And the cakes and pastries are so fresh, rustic and homemade. Love it!

Visité por mi cuenta, para un descanso del trabajo, un martes por la tarde a principios de septiembre. Pasé por delante por casualidad y me encantó el aspecto de la ventana y la tabla con la invitación a unirse para el té y las flores que se colocó fuera. Poder sentarme y disfrutar de una buena bebida y disfrutar de las flores a pesar de que no estaba comprando ninguna en esa ocasión fue realmente una experiencia encantadora y tranquila. Y wow, tenían algunas de las rosas más hermosas que he visto. Había un par de grupos de amigos que estaban disfrutando de sus conversaciones, yo y otra persona estábamos trabajando o simplemente disfrutando del tiempo de inactividad, y todos respetaban el derecho de todos los demás a disfrutar del espacio y la experiencia a su manera, ya sea juntos o solos. El menú está en la pared al lado de la nevera, mientras entras.

This morning I stopped by for Breakfast (A Small fry up) I found the atmosphere in the cafe nice and friendly and the staff were pleasant and the service was great. The food was very good and enjoyable and I found the options on the menu to be broad but affordable which is needed in this current times.

Liked the food so much. The prices were reasonable too. Continue in that way. Recommend the place to everyone.

Terrible service.. I requested a lactose free burger due to my intolerance. They let me know half way through eating my burger that it was in fact real cheese and brought me a replacement. They weren’t apologetic and didn’t even offer to take my meal off the bill. I would not recommend to anyone.
