This small fronted winery can almost be missed when walking along Cinque Ports Street in Rye. But spot it and venture in and you'll be greeted by wonderful hosts (Graham and his wife) who really make you feel welcome. The fairly small interior is cosy but nice and their extensive knowledge of wines is second to none. It's not expensive either. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.

We visited the Seafood Bar after seeing it when we bought fresh fish from the adjoining shop. First impressions are that this is just like an Italian simple quayside cafe with an English Brighton Lanes/Borough Market feel. Food a total surprise and wonderful. Those Posh Chips are deceptively filling and soooo delicious, fish roll, scallop roll etc superb. The mussels fresh from the landing boat smell of the sea! Staff very friendly (but not familiar) and always cheerful. I know all the positive reviews of this young cafe will make finding a table difficult but we have so few truly good places to eat that I have to take that chance. This is Nirvana for non meat eaters . Oh, I forgot the music in the area with bench tables and huge oil drum brazier in front of the cooking hut. Very Brighton feel with 70s/80s hits! We are off today for Sunday âlunchâ and shall be inside because of the rain. Husband loves the Champagne Beer. He almost fell over with shock at the low price too. I have Americano Coffee (no fancy barista stuff here) and it is seriously good. Wine list impressive, blankets to go over the knee should shivers set in as we are beside the quay. So if you find funds deny your overseas break this year, come along to Seafood Bar and enjoy the continental harbour taverna ambience.

Fantastic cafe in the heart of Rye! Run by nice people, serving nice food. Everything we tried was delicious and nourishing.

English waitress with the pony tail needs to smile, or if she doesnât want to be there, get another job, brought the atmosphere down imo. The two Asian girls were lovely and smiling. Foods good but expensive. Regardless of race of waitresses, I felt uncomfortable and âsingled outâ but thatâs ok and the norm I guess.

A ÂŁ12.50 per head non returnable fee to reserve a table is outrageous considering there is no cover charge for turning up. So ÂŁ75 just for the privilege of booking a table before buying a drink. No jazz on offer as such just a local musician playing a wide range of songs and a couple with an aggressive sounding dog barking out loud just behind us. Not a champagne jazz bar atmosphere at all.

Went in for breakfast this morning after walk with my dog. Lady behind counter blew her nose, and didn't wash hands. On putting in order I mentioned to her she just smiled and continued saying she was busy taking payments, if that's health and safety I would not trust them cooking my food etc. So left

I stayed at Haydens on a cold wintery wet weekend in January and I couldn't have been more warmed by the reception that I received. I was greeted at the front desk by a very helpful and friendly receptionist and was immediately checked in and shown to my rooms. The room i stayed in is the Silver room which was huge. Much bigger than most hotels. The room was beautifully furnished and had all the facilities I would expect from a much larger hotel. Everything you could require is included in the price and all the toiletries were from a local supplier. The B&B is owned and run by a family who we were lucky enough to share dinner with and they were all so warm and friendly and the food was perfect. I had beef bourguignon with a side selection of fresh vegetables. It was all cooked exactly how I like it and using local ingredients which I understand is the ethos behind the B&B. In the morning the breakfast was absolutely stunning. I had a full cooked breakfast and there was a wide range of pastries, cereals, fresh fruit juices and tea and coffee so I consider this to be very good value for money. I would thoroughly recommend Haydens and please don't let the fact that it's a B&B put you off, it is really much more like a hotel. I will definitely be returning to this little gem!

Sat outside Kino in a lovely setting at 2.30pm for late lunch. Good choice of what we were looking for, placed our order and was promptly delivered by a charming young man. I have got to say the toasted ham and cheese sandwich along with the great salad was one of the best I think I have ever hadâŠ.delicious. Great bowl of clean water for my dog to enjoy tooâŠ. Thank you.
