Just intended to grab a coffee and quick snack before heading off home from Plymouth but could have stayed all day and chilled out watching the world go by from the window. Friendly, attentive staff and contemporary brunch menu which feels sophisticated. Good coffee and our food, Chinese style duck on sourdough, with poached egg, from the new menu was superb and the portion size was hearty too. All in all, excellent.

Never been to the place, but Google nag me to leave a review regardless!

Went there this afternoon for lunch to celebrate my birthday with friends. Delicious food and amazing service! I don’t know how the lady was doing it all. Serving behind the bar and attending our table always smiling and never looked the slightest bit flustered, nothing was too much trouble! I had a couple of awkward requests, like chips instead of mash and I was bought a bowl or freshly made hand cut chunky chips. Asked for custard instead of ice cream to go with my sticky toffee pudding and they made it. I ordered chicken leek and bacon pie and it was the best pie I have had in a long time! Really tasty. Came with asparagus and carrots. All have lots of flavour and huge portions! Will definitely return! Highly recommend! All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and visit.

Noticed this place today in old Buddha hut premises on Mutley Plain. Launched at noon as a Greek Meze restaurant and takeaway. Friendly with interesting menu. Will come back on an evening this week. I think opening is Wednesday until Sunday from noon until 9pm.

I came here for the first time, and it was pretty good. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat, this is probably your place. It did give me canteen vibes as you are eating out of a brown paper bag or paper cup, but everything was still quite nice! I had an oat hot chocolate and brownie which came to £5.25 which is kind of expensive but not horrible. Everything was clean and tidy, and the whole place looks really nice as well!

As I stand here today as a final-year student at the University of Plymouth, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to a place that has been a cornerstone of my journey—The Library Café. From my very first year, this café has not only provided us with amazing food but has also created a welcoming environment that feels like home. The support from the staff has been invaluable, and I am truly thankful for the countless moments of encouragement and kindness I've experienced here.I’d especially like to thank Julie. Your unwavering support has made a profound impact on my years at university, and I appreciate everything you’ve done for us.To all the staff at The Library Café, thank you for your dedication and for nourishing both our bodies and our spirits. You have played an essential role in our university experience, and for that, we are all deeply grateful. Thank you!

Just fab! Ordered the cheesy chunky chips at the cafe and were super impressed!! The chips were delish an totally worth it. Absolutely great for the price and the fact they were gluten free and ceoliac friendly was a stand out for us. Staff were so helpful with sauces and gluten free options. We look forward to visiting again!

We liked Coffee Plus for grab and go stuff to wait with or take on the trains but it was removed about 2 1/2 years ago. But for a couple of months or so we’ve seen a much smaller mobile set up in the space several metres inside the turnstiles. Very basic but useful in its own way. Better by far is another sort of pop up coffee and bagel place outside at the west end of the car park run by Hutong. We have yet to be drawn into the new cafe in the north west corner of the concourse between Smiths and the ticket counters so can’t say whether it’s any good or not.
