All local meat and freshly cooked. Served with a smile. Plenty of pastries, cakes quiches and pies. Really good value.

Great place for a cooked breakfast! Staff are friendly and helpful. When it gets very busy, it can take a little while to get a table. Reservation recommended!

A Great Café with good service, very reasonable and great cakes

Only had coffee but it was a perfect Latte not too strong unlike many of the large chains. My little dog Mackintosh loved his complimentary dog biscuits and water. Lovely little place 💕

Pit stop on way home, great little find just off the route home such a shame to hear it is closing :( Wish you all the best for the future 😀

Found this hidden gem and recommend to all. Good food, coffee and service. Lady who served us was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had panini's with salad which were very tasty. I would go again when in the area.

14 of us had a festive cream tea and was really disappointed we asked before hand to have some plain sandwiches as alot of ppl didn't like the filling which they forgot to do ( though this was sorted ) we were also told they would lay the table in a horse shoe shape so we could all mingle together, when we arrived it was in a straight line and very squash in to other tables . The quiche was very tasteless but we did enjoy the sausage rolls . The biggest disappointment was the scones they were tiny and out of a packet !!! Definitely not homemade !!!!! I think a scone makes the cream tea so felt very disappointed especially after paying £25 per person . Didn't have the greatest experience and felt let down due to no communication about our booking .

Service, food and atmosphere awful because it was closed, went walking for a nice breakfast and it said it was open sundays when it just wasnt

Stopped off here for a Sunday roast on our drive home from Devon. Beautiful atmosphere and pub. Lovely staff. Food was lovely. Would recommend.

My wife and I were new to Mexican cuisine, and so grateful for the advice from Matt the owner as to what to choose to both eat and drink. The food was so tasty, not too spicy, great quality and good value. The cocktail I had was delicious, and my wife loved the Mexican red wine she had. The atmosphere was lovely, nice music, attentive service. We will be back soon and can’t wait to try some other dishes on the menu. And drinks! Highly recommended.

I’ve been buying my Christmas goose here ever since I stopped rearing my own, nearly 20 years ago. The quality and service has always been exceptional, the geese are well grown and not over-fat - enough there to keep a supply for lots of roast potatoes. It’s good to see them continuing to be committed to modern regenerative farming, a small family business caring for livestock and the whole environment.

Excellent food and service, worth a visit!

The pen mill is a lovely restaurant very good size & lovely food I went with my family for a carvery I had a veggie option & I was even given vegetarian gravy , very friendly & helpful staff, very good service it was quite busy so advised to book a table , lovely modern decor & Xmas decorations with a lovely big Xmas tree , lovely atmosphere & good value for money I would definitely recommend this place for a meal there's a lovely bar area & is dog friendly as well & kid friendly so great for family if all ages .
