Nipped in today and wish I hadn't. Staff were surly and indifferent. We had to clear a table ourselves. Ordered two teas and and a cheese salad sandwich. Then had to wait 15 minutes for them to arrive. Tea was really nice but the sandwich was dry and served on a slate! All in all a pretty dissapointing experience.

One of the nicest veggie breakfasts I’ve ever had. Great value and the food was delicious! Lovely coffee and hot chocolate. Staff were welcoming and polite and service was quick. Lovely atmosphere on a busy Saturday morning!

A great place to meet up for a day out or just for a drink and food with speed boats rides weekends and bank holidays and lots more, also classic car shows once a month starting in April.

First visit and we enjoyed our stay. We only had drinks so can't comment on the food. The atmosphere was relaxing however there was a vibe that it could be a place to come for a "good fun night out" especially as the music was lively. Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been before. We will be returning to try the cocktails that's for sure.

I booked the strawberry cabin for a get together for my birthday. Hannah from the very beginning when j enquired was sooo helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great communication, they were amazing catering for my guests who had different dietary requirements. The food was brilliant and there was plenty for everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were amazing and I would highly recommend. Thank you so much 💓

Had a lovely meal with friends here last night. Food was perfect, especially the apple & cherry crumble which was delicious. Conor was very welcoming & friendly when we arrived. Rich made our night with his friendly chatter whilst serving us. Definitely recommend here, it’s such a lovely pub.

Visited for Sunday lunch booked in advance and had to pay £10 p/p deposit, restaurant was busy and staff coping exceptionally well. Everything explained in detail by our excellent server. Now the food, quite honestly the Sunday lunch carvery consisted of Turkey or Beef, this was supported by stuffing, last weeks roast potatoes (teeth breakers) a Yorkshire pudding dripping in oil, mash and some tinned peas/ beans. Have to say probably the worst carvery we have ever visited, however, the sweet was good and the staff were superb. Would we return, sad to say no even though this the best up kept three star hotel I’ve ever witnessed.

A pub that has a good atmosphere, with a jukebox and good bar staff.

Very good meal and friendly staff. It was New Year's Eve so quite busy despite a very disappointing number of last minutes cancellations citing bad weather as the excuse. We always enjoy the atmosphere at the Holly Bush with a lovely fire and dog friendly area.

Myself and three friends met at the Owl for a get together before Christmas, one of us had been previously and said it was a nice place. We arrived on time for our 7pm booking. The restaurant itself was lovely and beautifully decorated for Christmas. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table and given menus. A short while later our drinks order was taken, we did have to repeat the order a couple of times and a few minutes later our drinks arrived. Shortly after we ordered food, all off the 'festive menu' (1 roast turkey dinner, 1 roast beef dinner and 2 sea bass). It took over a hour for our meals to arrive, during which time nobody checked in on us or apologised for the wait. The restaurant didn't appear to be overly busy and there were frequency 2 or 3 members of staff just chatting to each other at the end of the bar. The food arrived and was nicely presented, if a little dry. While we were eating, nobody came to check if things were ok. Although my friends had finished eating, I hadn't, however the waiter came over and said he'd clear the plates for us, I explained I was still eating but he cleared my friends plates anyway. After I had finished eating my plate sat in front of me for over 10 minutes, during which time 2 members of staff were clearing and wiping adjacent tables. In the end I moved my plate onto the empty table next to us. We waited a while and managed to attract a waiters attention to order deserts (1 cheesecake and 3 ice creams). When the deserts arrived we were given 3 cheesecakes and 1 ice cream. The extra cheesecakes were swapped out reasonably quickly with an apology saying the chef had got them mixed up. Again there was no food check and no point during our meal were we asked if we wanted another drink. We were also not asked if we wanted coffees following desert. When we asked for the bill, it seemed to cause confusion as 2 of us were paying cash and 2 by card. We did explain that we would not be leaving a tip as we'd waited over an hour for our mains and the service had not been good although the restaurant didn't appear to be that busy. We were then told that there had been a couple of big tables in that evening. We left around 9:40pm. Overall, I enjoyed the evening as meeting up with old friends is always a pleasure, however based on this experience I won't be returning in a hurry. The place was lovely, the food was ok, the service was terrible.
