I came here with a family group of 6, we came for a late lunch at 2pm and stayed until 6pm! The majority of us had the Sunday roast of pork loin which was pretty much a traditional roast with a few little twists, such as the carrot purée which was delicious. It came with plentiful vegetables, huge Yorkshire pudding and the most amazing red wine gravy-they gave us large jug of extra gravy! My niece ordered a variety of tapas style dishes which she thoroughly enjoyed. We also had the salted caramel tart with clotted cream ice cream. Plenty of wine was ordered and some mocktails which were delicious. Plenty of choice for vegetarians, vegans and those with dietary requirements. The staff were very friendly, service impeccable and we were not rushed or made to feel we were outstaying our welcome which was great as we had come from London to visit family. I would highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to my next visit to try some of their tapas. I thought the prices were very good for the quality of the food.

As a family, we can’t fault The Swan. The landlady & landord are incredibly friendly & accommodating as we had a last minute change of plan & timings. Nothing was too much trouble. Both the evening meal & breakfast were delicious. The family room was perfect for us & a lovely tray of tea/coffee/hot chocolate & milk in our room too. We will return & highly recommend.

Just recently moved to the area. Been looking for a friendly local… WELL what can I say. Met the landlord and the 5 o’clock club this evening. What a fabulous bunch of welcoming people. Also eaten here in the past and top notch. Can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for excellent beer, scrumptious food, a good laugh and a hug off the landlord get yourselfs here. Guaranteed good time 🍸🙌♥️

I came here for lunch and a brew, ordered the bacon Brie panini, a cake and a pot of tea. It's a lovely cafe with hard working friendly staff. I've been a couple of times before when passing through Thirsk so knew the food would be good, which it was. The panini was really nice, I would give 5* but always think (and especially this time of year) that a bacon and bri panini should come with cranberry sauce. I'll definitely be back though the next time I'm passing through.

We called in at the end of a fab walk. The welcome was lovely and the decor was even nicer. Robyn clearly takes real pride. Unfortunately it was raining, so we found ourselves stranded and forced to stay for 4 very enjoyable pints. We're told that food will be available from the end of July. If you're passing then pop in and support this great pub.

A wonderful pub. We popped in to have a drink and despite the fact it was really busy, all the staff made us feel really welcome. There was a lovely, friendly atmosphere. We returned the next day for a Sunday dinner. There was plenty of food, all delicious and service was great. We will definitely return.

Today i have ordered an afternoon tea takeaway for the 21st November from Betty’s Northallerton. I rang and received a pleasant greeting. My order was taken and repeated back to me as we had to change the sandwich order, due to a fish and seafood allergy. The person was polite, courteous and professional. I would recommend this service to anyone who is wanting an afternoon tea, and have not got the time to visit the tearoom.
