The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Richmondshire Yorkshire and The Humber

We live local so have given The George more than enough chances over the years for sunday lunch. The really need a good chef. I like my veg al dente not raw! The rest of the food was cold.

Worst KFC meal I have had - tables dirty, cold in the seating area due to air con and the meal really wasn't great- our tower burgers had a dark coloured hard, greasy, crunchy overcooked coating with dry chicken inside. Perhaps it had been sat too long waiting for it to be sold? It certainly wasn't fresh. Would be wary about eating chicken from there again. Not had this experience in a KFC before. Maybe someone higher up should be checking in occasionally to check on hygiene/food safety standards......

Well it’s a low rating because we arrived expecting Bacon babs and coffee for 4, but left disappointed as the moody staff only had sausages (ready) to offer. Granted it was 3pm on a chilly Friday, and they close at 4pm, but a surly pre-cooked sausage does not make up for an expectant bacon roll 🤷‍♂️

Called in late afternoon after a long journey. The place was freezing cold inside ! Ordered the delicious sounding homemade lemonade but was told quite bluntly no, no one ever orders it! Also ordered a homemade scone and asked for it to be served cold but was rudely told that they had to be microwaved from frozen. Wouldn’t recommend or go back but it did provide us with a bit of Fawlty Towers type entertainment! Sadly, judging by other reviews this wasn’t a one-off.

Has got so expensive! £5.90 for an egg sandwich and the same for a sausage roll. The sausage roll was scantilly filled, pretty tasteless and cold. Taking my own food from now on!!
