The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Micklegate York Yorkshire and The Humber

Really chuffed to have stumbled across FortyFive today. My friend and I were in the area for a work trip and stopped in for lunch with lots of local places still closed for the holidays. What a find, especially for music lovers. Great food (both had cheese toasties), good coffees and hot chocolate in a unique setting. Plus lovely friendly service. We're due back in York a couple of times later this year and will definitely be checking what gigs are on and dropping in if we can.

What a fantastic independent venue. The Reuben was good, the coffee great quality and the staff super friendly. Exactly what British business should be.

Excellent authentic Syrian food and reasonably priced (for central York). Had chicken shawarma and looking forward to lamb shawarma next time. Staff lovely too!

Vine aquí durante mi viaje a York y estaba muy impresionado, café maravilloso y deliciosos pasteles! uno de mis lugares favoritos! espero estar de vuelta en mi próximo viaje!

El mejor rollo de salchicha y tocino que he probado en York. Tan sabroso y fresco. Un poco fuera de los caminos trillados, pero vale la pena buscarlo. Las chicas son encantadoras y la comida excelente.

Solo encontramos esta fabulosa cafetería en nuestro último día de lo contrario habríamos estado allí todos los días! El café es el mejor que hemos tomado en mucho tiempo, y los pasteles se veían increíbles. Muy diferente. Compramos 2 preciosos panes de masa madre por £ 3. ¡10 cada uno, lo que a nuestro alrededor probablemente costaría casi cinco centavos cada uno!

Lovely experience here as always, good food, good flow of drinks. Our server Olivia was lovely and came over regularly for drink service 💗 Atmosphere was lovely, music was loud enough not too loud like some places. Thank you! 🥰

¡Vinimos el fin de semana toda nuestra visita anual al mercado de Navidad! Muchos de nuestros amigos que han visitado el Nagshead nos han dicho que vengamos y dar el lugar hace poco! BUENO, ¿qué puedo decir de uno de los mejores pubs de York, el personal estaba en buena forma (especialmente el tipo con tatuajes) Creo que su nombre era Scott si tan bien hecho a usted y su equipo y gracias a todos por su trabajo duro y hacer nuestro fin de semana de Navidad fuera el mejor hasta ahora! ¡La próxima vez que vengamos (Verano) definitivamente entraremos y nos sentaremos especialmente en el enorme jardín de cerveza! Feliz Navidad y feliz año nuevo a todos ustedes. 5 estrellas alrededor.

Great traditional drinking pup.

A lovely place to sit, sip a coffee and grab a snack. Everyone is super friendly, too. An iced cafe mocha in winter might not be everyone’s drink of choice but it was delicious!

I have previously given a 5 star review for the windmill obviously on a Sunday it totally breaks down...came for Sunday dinner no cauliflower cheese on the plate the beef was tough stuffing must have been sat in a warmer for hours staff didn't care poor service

Jacob proporcionó un servicio excepcional. Amable, atento y un placer tratar con él. Estábamos fuera con amigos y tuvimos el mejor tiempo aquí, a solo un tiro de piedra de la estación. Cócteles y cervezas, el menú tiene algo para todos. Gran comida también! 10 / 10

We booked Christmas meal for 6 on 20th Dec 22. We were given a room to ourselves which was nice , our waiter was good very friendly. The meal was the worst Christmas meal we had. Turkey fine, the vegetables were rock hard and the amount per person was terrible including 3 very hard runner beans , 5 Half Brussel sprouts ( too hard to put the fork in ( even waiter couldn't) and 2 pieces of another veg it appeared that who ever was in the kitchen had taken the portions out of the freezer and hadn't microwaved them long enough. The desserts were passible but not great , then we came to mince pies, pies is not the word ( one bite) we would use they were not much bigger than a fifty pence piece with a spread of filling no bits just a brown gel. The waiter was most apologetic and offered us free drinks but as there was 4 elderly and 2 drivers the drinks were 4 soft drinks and 1 half pint that didn't equal a lot of money. We paid £179.70 for these meals. I realise that the price also includes wages , heating etc but we have had many meals out and this is by far the worst.
