The food and service at this restaurant were absolutely wonderful! 🍽️✨ The staff were attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and had high hopes for a memorable dining experience. However, unfortunately, we both experienced significant stomach upsets shortly after choosing the steak. 🥩😔 While I cannot definitively prove the cause, I feel there’s a strong likelihood that something might have been off with the dish. It’s disappointing, as the quality of service and other aspects of the experience were exceptional. I hope this was an isolated incident, as I would love to recommend this place wholeheartedly. 🤞 It might be worth reviewing food safety measures, particularly for dishes like steak, to ensure every customer leaves with only positive memories.

Sea side cafe open all year with guests prepared to sit out at tables by the sea all year long, even though there is heated covered seating outdoors (but not sea view) and indoors. Which speaks to its popularity with locals attracted by its high quality food at fair prices. Really busy in summer but still busy in winter unless it’s really wet and blowy. As an area resident I go all year, and am happy to do so.

Definitely a place to visit in Southampton. The Service was amazing from everyone and food was simply delicious especially the mixed platter of meats and the baklava dessert . My nan’s 80th Birthday was made very special.🎉🥂 Thank you to the singer for singing the Birthday song, it made my her night ! I’d also like the thank the lady owner for setting up our table with balloons and for her hospitality. We’re already looking forward to going to Uni Kebab again for my wife’s birthday.

Used to go here regularly for lunch whilst working at Falmer campus. Five years on we revisited the Swan to see if much had changed. It hasn’t really, which is a shame, but we did kind of expect it. I would love loved to see a more progressive menu of traditional pub classics. Steak chunks in the pie, not minced. Calamari Rings isn’t a main in my food book, sorry. However, the food was hot, simple but tasty and came out quickly. Friendly staff as always.

We got married here first during Covid on 2021 and again for the celebration in 2023. The venue was good, particularly with their flexibility during Covid. Unfortunately the experience was let down by their caterers. We ordered 5 Gluten Free meals which were communicated and acknowledged but on the day were not stocked for it! This proved a bit stressful on the day as these guests were severely celiac. The chef did what he could but was not great. We opted to go for the evening buffet bbq for everyone, which was only just satisfactory. The meats were clearly re-heated and quite frankly the product was not of great quality at all. The chicken looked anemic and I would hedge my bet that it was microwaved. Overall a really poor show from the catering side of things, and I hope the venue takes on this feedback as the food and service was terrible - although I don’t think they will as it’s an immediate family member who is a director of the catering company! Edit: To the venue’s response, I would like to add that it wouldn’t have got to court if they had acted in a professional manner. Unfortunately Exquisite catering ignored my complaint, so the cost of £60, to use a morning of their time to listen to my complaint in court was well worth it.
