I was lucky enough to win a competition on Instagram for a festive lunch for 2, and we visited with my 11 year old son. The restaurant was well laid out, spacious and had friendly staff. We had the festive menu and all the food was well presented, cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Seeing the negative reviews made me a little apprehensive, but I wanted to post and say thank you for an enjoyable few hours : )

We had dinner with friends last weekend in Danesfield's Oak Room. We opted for their tasting menu as it looked very promising. And we were not disappointed! Each course not only looked great, it all tasted delicious. From the first bite to the last crumb. Worth every penny and we will be back soon for more. Great team that Chef Matt has and I hope they keep up the good work - a (Michelin) Star in the making...

Super tasty food and generous portions! Great service too! I will come again and bring friends. The skewers are insane!

The food is amazing but the staff make this place! We came for lunch with two children with special needs and the whole family had the best time! The food is child friendly and the garden help to accommodate the needs of little ones, who struggle to regulate around meals. The kindness of the staff and the quality of the food go this review a 10 out of 10! We will be coming back again! A huge thank you!

i come here once a month. top notch food as always, cooked fresh when ordered. the dips have great taste which contrasts with each other. the bread is soft and chewy but not too chewy. the service was prompt and excellent. quite attentive too. we were served by Maria (from Bulgaria i think) and we were served complimentary tea and baklava. half of my party was outside already when she ushered us back in because she had already prepared it for us! it just needed to be served.somehow i always order the mixed grill (everything is good, gotta eat it all) and it never disappoints. they willingly give you a takeaway box to bring home your leftovers. the toilets were clean.seating was cramped but it is a small shop so no issue here.will definitely visit again. and again. and again.

Spectacular setting floor to ceiling windows overlooking acres of vineyardsJust outside the medieval charming town of Alfriston it is a long drive to Tasting Room - the kind of entry one is used to in the great vineyard restaurants of Adelaide Hills Margaret River in Australia and Franschoek and Stellenbosch in South AfricaWe did feel we were transported to these countries but such good news for UK as there is little in the way of this in Bordeaux To cap it off the food was eclectic and creative - the gazpacho was topped with iberico ham and floating chorizo croquettes - an acknowledgement to this real Spanish dish. The courgette floor as a main was interesting stuffed with buffalo cheese and other accompaniments such a violet artichoke. The three course menu at £37 good value As there are a limited number of tables it is necessary to book well in advance We will nee backThe chef gained Michelin star at his previous restaurant so he comes here with a reputationTo cap it off the sparkling wines are exceptional - elegant and lingering taste

The first time to AG’s although we have visited the Reflections restaurant in the same location on a few previous occasions. We had Christmas lunch, and the whole experience from arrival, with drinks in the Champagne Lounge to departure was amazing. The quality and presentation of the food was exceptional as was the high level of service and attention from the staff. Highly recommended on every level
