Exceptional Food and Service at Fletcher’s, But Room for Improvement in Details Fletcher’s Restaurant offers an extraordinary dining experience with exceptional food, outstanding wine pairings, and impeccable service. We visited for the tasting menu and were thoroughly impressed by the creativity and execution of every dish. The staff, particularly our server, were attentive, professional, and added a warm touch to the evening. That said, while our overall experience was fantastic, there were a few small details that let the evening down, particularly given the extended time we spent there. We expected to spend about two and a half hours enjoying the tasting menu, but we were seated at a corner table with two of the three guests facing a blank wall and staring at a router and phone. This table also lacked the finishing touches of other tables, such as a candle or centerpiece, making it feel less special compared to the rest of the restaurant. While the restaurant seemed busy, there was some empty space, so it’s possible that a more thoughtful seating arrangement could have been made. After nearly three hours, we decided it was time to leave. When we informed the staff, our wonderful server asked if I was bored of the restaurant, to which I honestly replied “yes.” In fairness, after 2 hours and 45 minutes of looking at a relatively blank wall and a router, it did start to detract from the otherwise fantastic experience. Overall, Fletcher’s is an amazing place with food and service that are second to none. The few issues with seating and ambiance don’t take away from the incredible quality of the food or how much we enjoyed the meal, but these small details are worth addressing—especially for long, immersive dining experiences.

I guess we must have gone on a bad day but honestly, very underwhelmed! Nearly £30 for two drinks and two bagels you think ok, this is gonna be out of this world, but we were left feeling short changed. We ordered the salted beef bagel which needed more salt and I’ve had a lot tastier sauerkraut, it was large so portion size was good but it just tasted very average, we also had the halloumi one but they forgot to add the chilli jam which is one of the main ingredients so no idea how they missed that, we bought them to go and only noticed when we got home! The coffee was ok but the chai latte was luke warm at best! All in all, for the price, and the reputation, we were left disappointed.

I’ve visited Nando's in Plymouth and had an exceptional experience, thanks to a wonderful waitress named Ngozi. From the moment we arrived, Ngozi was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. She made sure we felt comfortable and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. Ngozi's cheerful attitude added to the positive atmosphere of the restaurant. She was incredibly efficient, always checking in at the right time without being intrusive. The food was great, as always, but it was Ngozi's outstanding service that really made our visit memorable. Nando's Plymouth is lucky to have such a fantastic team member. I’ll definitely be returning!
