The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in England

I'd love to be able to review the food but, this is the mail I have had to send today: I am gravely disappointed and very, very upset by your total lack of customer care: I had a reservation in your restaurant on 24th December, for 3 people. I have a written confirmation (made many weeks ago). This event was 'Christmas' with my daughter and husband as we are apart for the rest of the holidays. I had an alternative booked but my daughter asked if we could come to you: I booked THEN cancelled my other reservation. Yesterday, just 1 week before Christmas, a 'chirpy' but utterly uncaring and dismissive person called to say, 'the manager has said we are only doing Christmas lunch for residents so we need to cancel your reservation. Sorry about that. He said you can have an afternoon tea reservation and use of the Spa if you like. Protest was met with the same chirpy dismissal, followed by an email that did not apologise (no apology received, AT ALL) that confirmed the cancellation, seeming to imply that I had cancelled it. This is appalling customer service: period! People have told me you are a great venue... really??? Maybe in terms of food but certainly not, if this is an example of normal practice, in terms of customer care. Why would I want afternoon tea when I had booked a Christmas lunch? (Not a FREE afternoon tea at a time of my choice even but a 'reservation'!) Why would I want to use your SPA on Christmas eve, with my son in law (???) and when I have Banatynes membership? You have WRECKED my Christmas and simply don't care? I really would like a written apology and explanation please.

I love this restaurant. When i order it is always perfectly made I love the sauces and th bread they give with it and of course I could not miss out on tje amazing lamb doner.

This place is truly special, we had a lovely stay in one of their loft rooms which was incredibly clean. The food in "Upstairs at the Mill" was absolutely superb and the team really looked after us. Everyone we interacted with was clearly invested in making our stay a truly remarkable and memorable experience. I won't forget our stay and cannot wait to go back. 6 stars if I could give it!

Cute little Georgian restaurant, seems family run. Menu is pretty short on details but friendly staff is always happy to give advice.

I went there on a whim, not expecting much, however ordered a sharing platter - the one for 3-4 and was amazed that not only the food was good, but there was plenty for the three of us. They brought bread, hummus, and tatziki to start and finished the meal with turkish delight. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a sit-in meal.

Absolutely fabulous tasty food.

We visited Träkol for Sunday lunch and we left very satisfied. We started with some fresh oysters and Bloody Mary. The main course, roast beef, was perfectly cooked (medium rare), delicious and tender, and came with all the trimmings which were equally scrumptious, especially the cauliflower cheese. I would go back and certainly recommend a visit.
