Great food and service. Only downside - parking and cash only.

Fit us in last minute on new year's eve, lovely staff and moved us to a table more suitable for a high chair when it became available. Wonderful food too.

We had the festive lunch which was great value, 3 courses for £21! I had the salt and pepper cauliflower to start which was good. The trio of seafood (bream, cod cheeks, mussels) was excellent as was the mulled sticky toffee pudding. Everyone in the party was happy with their choices too

The service was excellent, and the wine, coconut ice cream, coffee, and filled potato skins were delightful. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end, as the main dishes were quite disappointing and lacked flavour. The sardines should have been grilled or pan-fried to achieve a crispy skin, as traditionally served in Spain. Instead, they arrived without any crispiness, making them overly fishy and unenjoyable. The paella was also bland and lacked flavour, with far too much liquid—resembling risotto in a bowl of broth rather than an authentic paella. Some of the fish chunks tasted off, and despite the menu stating “king prawns,” there was only a single prawn on the plate. Additionally, the socarrat—the crispy, caramelised layer at the bottom of a paella pan—was completely missing due to the excess broth, which is a crucial element of a well-made paella. As for the ambiance, this is probably not the best choice for a quiet, candlelit dinner—something we learned firsthand. The noise level was extremely high, almost overwhelming. Several birthdays were being celebrated, and each time, the lights were turned off as cakes were brought out and “Happy Birthday” was sung. While it was a nice touch at first, it quickly became excessive when it happened every 15 to 20 minutes. We were also there for a celebration, but we chose to mark the occasion quietly rather than making a spectacle of it and disrupting others.

My wife and I stayed at The Roebuck Inn just before Christmas (2024). What a wonderful place and wonderful friendly service - Amy and all the team were amazing. It's a gorgeous place, great atmosphere, fantastic food, lovely quirky bedroom. We will be back!!

I recently visited The Old Forge in Washington Village for lunch with my mam, and it was a lovely experience overall. The food was really good, the staff were friendly, and the cozy open fire added such a nice touch to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The only thing that let it down slightly was the disappointing cheesecake, but everything else was brilliant. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to eat with a welcoming vibe!

Wonderful, real food in a proper atmosphere courtesy of great owner. The interior, food, menu, everything is as if you went to the actual region. Definitely recommend!

Everything about this restaurant is 5*. We were here on Saturday evening. The two girls who served our food were very attentive and had lovely warm personalities, as was the guy who served the wine. The salt n chilli starter was delicious, the sea bass and chilli chicken also scrummy. Chicken wings are not my thing, but they are now! I am so glad to have discovered this great restaurant, we will definitely return. Thanks, Deirdre

We went for a celebration meal. Food was amazing. I had the lamb partner had the venison and others had stake. All were very happy with the quality of the food. My partner and I stayed the night in a nice 4 poster bed with excellent breakfast and only £100 total as we booked direct.

What a fantastic restaurant! We had a lunch there for work and everything about dining there was perfect. The food was pure heaven, the service was lovely and friendly and we felt so well looked after. I highly recommend!

Lovely 3 day break this year. Staff work hard and are friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The room is spotless with a lovely view and plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. The chef Paul Leonard runs a sharp team whilst cooking food with so much flavour. That’s why we always return. This hotel knows how to treat guests ! Well done

Top quality restaurant! Food was 10/10, service 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. I've eaten out in London a lot and this is in my top 3 for sure!! Highly recommend... will be going back ASAP!! GIVE THIS PLACE A MITCHELIN STAR!!

Beautiful building ,decor and ambiance was really atmospheric. Lots of staff and attentive , dinning room presented well also clean. I think there are a few tweaks that could be made in the food, eg a nice basket of bread instead of just one piece on a plate. More fresh veg served with your meal. We had to ask for sugar which was served on a saucer for our coffee. Slight expensive for what you got.
