Good choice of beer ,though blooming expensive .Always easy to get served and usually pleasant staff. Now here’s the big but ,those gents toilets are a bloody health hazard they need completely ripping out back to bare walls and rebuilding,The stench of stale urine is overpowering.

Always had an issue with this place not clearly stating their prices but really craved a snack today and it was much cheaper than the crêpes next door which I originally wanted. The price is only displayed at the cashier. I got the vanilla and sugar pretzel which was £4.95, same as all the other whole pretzels. There were pretzel bites which were around £2 more. If you wanted an extra topping it is +50p. The wait was long as we went around 3:30pm but the pretzel was baked fresh. It was crisp outside and soft and warm inside so it was perfect. Overall a 7/10 experience. Would come again only during off peak times.

I (without Carole) had two most enjoyable dinners here last week. On both occasions I received a friendly welcome and was quickly shown to a table and given a menu which impressed me with its full description of the food. This, when I received it, was superbly cooked and presented. 222 is truly an amazing vegan restaurant - the dishes, especially the mains, are so original and flavoursome. I make monthly trips to London and will be coming here again and again and I shall be working my way through the menu!

Our festivities over Christmas always end up by getting together with two very good friends. We enjoy New Year's Eve with a splendid meal at either their house or ours, and go out for breakfast on New Year's Day. For many years it’s been a bit of a tradition to visit The Kings Arms for their excellent Eggs Benedict. Regrettably, this year was not a good experience. Booked in at 10.30 a.m., tea and coffee arrived fairly swiftly, but then we waited an hour before we said we’ll pay for the beverages and go elsewhere. The delightful waitress was most apologetic but it still took another ten minutes before the food arrived. All the young waitresses were doing a wonderful job in the circumstances, but the chefs hollered at each other in the open kitchen, accompanied by crashing and banging of plates and pots and pans. Not the sort of racket you need with a sore head after an evening heavy on the wine. It was no busier than on previous years, but the cooking seemed to be highly disorganised. We would like to have been told on entry that it would be a lengthy delay before we were served. Totally unacceptable. (But the Eggs Benedict were delicious.)

Review: Hidden Rooftop Bar Overlooking Covent Garden This hidden rooftop bar overlooking Covent Garden is a gem. It offers a peaceful retreat where you can always find a seat and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the square. It’s the perfect spot for people-watching while enjoying a nice, relaxing gin and tonic. Just don’t tell everyone!

There was a bouncer (dressed casually) that told me that I wasn’t allowed to be seen with a drink in the queue, I then proceeded to throw my drink in the bin. I got stopped before I got inside and the same ‘bouncer’ stopped me and said I wasn’t allowed in as he apparently saw me ‘chug’ (in his words) my drink in the queue when he told me I wasn’t allowed to be seen with a drink, I find this place an absolute disgrace and would not recommend it to anyone.

The New Inn is our go to place. Good food and plenty of it with a varied menu to suit everyone. Staff are great. Welcoming and knowledgeable of their product. Nothing is too much trouble. Parking is available and the restaurant/pub is clean and tidy. On a more personal note...thank you for making mum feel special on her 95th birthday.

We stayed overnight to fly to Gran canary’s We went to Foggs restaurant it was just what we needed after travelling 3 and half hours from Lincolnshire. We had brilliant service from the boys in the restaurant and bar food was good very reasonably priced. Thank you Vicky and Andrew
