It was late afternoon on a Saturday and we were hoping for some tea and scones after a day out walking. Most of the other cafes in the town had closed, but we were lucky to get a seat here. The scones were wonderful and we spent a relaxing hour watching the world go by. We also got talking to some other visitors which was nice. Great venue and location, with friendly staff. We plan to return during our short stay in Great Ayton. Thank you.

Fabulous selection of pizza and starters. Food was delicious, the apple dessert was scrumptious, would definitely recommend

Bottomless pizza - great concept. Come round with loads of different pizza varieties and toppings, suitable to all. Not just your standard pizza toppings either, they do have some interesting but yummy flavours! Staff were friendly and efficient. Pizza was great.

We booked this place a month in advanced due to the reviews. We had the booking confirmed in writing. We arrived 15 mins early to be told that they had received another booking for 8 a "few days" earlier. We did mention that we were stood there and our booking was earlier, but I found the chef rude and unaccommodating! He offered ZERO solutions to the problem he had created. Would not offer delivery to out hotel (5 mins away) even though we had 4 hungry children with us. Pizza reviews may be great but customer service is a zero stars !

In all my seventy-never-you-mind years, the warmest welcome ever in an eatery. And not the professional synthetic welcome one sometimes gets, this was the real deal. What lovely people. Friday evening, 1830h, pretty full. Mostly locals, always a good sign. A boisterous family table of eight for instance, replaced while we there by a family table of nine. The bar, locals, busy. Even so, service was quick. The food is... sshhh... cheap, but very good and plenty of it. A cut above the normal standard of pub grub. I had whitebait, steak, cheese cake. The home-made white chocolate banoffie cheese cake at £4.50 was remarkable, like a marriage between a cheese and a cake. Unfortunately it came with two spoons and it got raided, shall we say, by someone who said they were too full for a dessert. Hmmph. Overall, great, just great. One tip... if you visit of a sunny summer's evening, as you drive up to the car park you'll need your sun glasses.
