A brilliant chippy. All food is cooked to order. It's fresh & fabulous. The batter on the fish is lovely & crisp & the fish perfectly cooked. Not too greasy. And now a weekly treat!

Excellent fish and chips with no frills time after time! Lovely owners and great customer service. Rarely go anywhere else for fish and chips in Norwich 😊 Highly recommend

Grosvenor Fish Bar, an assuming American style quirky chippie that serves clam burgers and fried green tomatoes so tried them. The clam burger reminds me of canned clams from the US but the patty also had other stuff which gives it a garlic bread taste. The fried green tomatoes were a bit too hard for my liking while the tomato slices were not juicy. The basement of this restaurant is a must visit.

Was I little disappointed with the food, as I’d heard good things about this place. I was impressed with the service, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I had turbot , it was a little under cooked and the skin was soggy and greasy. We shared potatoes and leeks, which were good. We also ordered a beetroot and goats cheese side, which was so salty, I couldn’t eat it. Panna cotta for dessert but it was a little lacking in flavour and the granola pieces on the plate, didn’t really go with it. The bread that we ordered was very nice and the cocktail was good. I consider myself an average cook but feel I could have cooked the fish better than that and at £28 just for the fish, it should have been better.

This was our third visit, and we think this is a great restaurant. It has a nice feel to it, whether you land at a table, the window stools or the bar. We aren’t price driven, but couldn’t help to notice the value on offer here. A full lobster yesterday at under £30 is ridiculously cheap compared to other places in the UK. The prices of the premium champagnes too are very keenly priced which is nudging us towards getting a train in and enjoying them. The food is excellent, the delivery of the oysters is excellent. Always annoys me when they come attached, sometimes a little gritty, but not these, these are incredibly well delivered. Little details like the minted potatoes I notice. There is pride in how these are prepared which I think highlights the detail across the plate. It’s always busy, but luckily we have managed to be squeezed in on all three occasions and the service is as good as the food. We sat at the bar yesterday, fascinated by how busy it was, the staff were on the go every minute, but they still had the ability to scan and notice their customers. Special mention to Alma, she was excellent, friendly, very busy but very attentive, she was ace. Everyone though is excellent, it’s a solid team and it appears they enjoy the delivery of the excellent food. Flawless for me this, outstanding on every level

It been terrible tonight we had two meals chips cold like been fry from dinner not fresh cook it terrible we contact then was offer credit by Lady owner didn’t come to phone we left chips I gave contact food safety at council kept chips tea no good tonight the owner not done enought it very worrying they serve food like this

I frequently go here on the way home from work. It's always cooked to perfection, and the staff are lovely. I am a fan of cod but often get stressed about fish not being cooked enough. They will, on request, cook it for a bit longer. When ordering ahead It's even an option on the website! The chips are basic, but always cooked properly and get crisp on the outside and soft inside. I love the gravy, it's just necessary to complete the meal for me.

Took the driver over an hour to get to us, and food was cold. Not really sure what they are doing but over 2 hours to get fish n chips cooked and to your door is not my idea of fast food. Unacceptable won’t be using star fish bar again.

Although it's called the Golden Fish it serves Chinese Food. We were staying nearby in a Houseboat, we rang in our order and collected it 15 minuts later. The food was really good, plenty of meat in the mixed chop suey and mixed sweet and sour. Large portions too. A delicious meal.
