I have eaten in Steins before but this time I was disappointed. Service was great but the meal wouldn’t have fed a twelve year old. My main course of Mussels was tiny I would have been better off in a pub up the road. No bread the chips I could have got in McDonald’s. I left feeling hungry still and £5 an oyster bit steep come on Steins

This Fish & Chip shop is under new management. We have been several times now and it is always perfect. The chips are amazing. Crisp on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The portions are large too, so could share a large chips between two people but they are so good you may not want to!!!! The Fish is perfect every time. Again large size fish portions. The batter is just so light and crispy and melt in your mouth. The fish is beautifully cooked and its all served piping hot. Absolutely recommend the fish & chips. They offer kebabs and burgers as well but haven't tried these yet so can't comment on them.

See my previous review dated 2019; everything about this chip shop remains first rate. I’ve made numerous visits since last review and had fantastic food every time. Far superior to most chippies I’ve been to. I’m amazed at some of the poor reviews on here. All I can say is, some people will never be satisfied.

We have always raved about GBK as we liked the burgers and the milk shakes, although the fries were often warm rather than hot. However today was a shock, the burgers were well below average, they seem smaller than the last time we went and the smashed blue cheese burger was cold, burnt, tasteless and the consistency of card board. We sent this back to be swapped for a classic burger. I am sad to say Burger King and 5 Guy's both do better burgers. The Milk Shakes were the sugar loaded, vague taste of, variety. We sent the 'chocolate' back to have some chocolate added and by the time we tested the 'Strawberry' we had given up on expecting taste. I can't remember the last time we sent anything back anywhere. So in conclusion 3 burgers, 3 fries and 3 drinks for £64.47 and there was nothing Gourmet about it.
