Went on a cookery course, absolutely fantastic. The tuition from Paul was first class and the food we produced you would be happy to pay a lot of money for. This was a great day and I would definitely go again on a different course. If you have any interest in food either go on one of these courses or to the restaurant. Nov 2nd. Went to the restaurant this time for a family meal for 9 and it was fantastic. Food, atmosphere and service were spot on and the attention to detail in the food made the experience very special. CTC

We visited a couple of times during our weeks holiday for the New Year celebrations. Both times we had a wonderful experience, nothing is too much for the guys that work here, they are so attentive. We loved our food and cocktails, even tried a couple of cheeky rums but not the ones from the Queens private collection (they were about £50 a shot). The place has a fantastic buzz about it and you are made to feel very welcome, even when they are extremely busy they will do their upmost to facilitate you.

Had another lovely meal at Portofino. We were seated opposite the sea view. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is serene, a lot of effort has been made to create an authentic Italian feel. The food as always was top quality, a taste sensation and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend to anyone for romantic dining or even with the family or work fucntions. Tip- Make sure you order a garlic bread with cheese, it's too good not to!

Dined on Saturday 16th November, definitely one to try, the staff are young but know service, very relaxed environment, welcoming and as it should be the food was exquisite. Some people may find it a little expensive but for the quality of the food I would say the price is absolutely fair!

Used to be excellent then it changed hands a few years back and every time we’ve been either the quality or the service has been awful. Last night we went for what will be the final time as when we got home we discovered they had forgotten to include part of our order (the kids food) and refused to deliver it to us despite it being their mistake, instead expecting us to make a 40 minute round journey to collect ourselves (we’d dished up all the other food and were literally sitting down to eat). It’s a shame because Wolfies used to be the kind of place we recommended regularly and took visiting friends and family to. Never again.

We visited for lunch today and we were really happy! It was all freshly cooked and the quality of the fish was great, it wasn’t grey it was white and tasty and delicious. I had a kids fish and chips, my partner an adult portion with a side of curry sauce and mushy peas. All hot, reasonably priced and good service. A great local find.

In a seaside town full of everyone's favourite fish and chips restaurant, I think the experience we had here put this place right at the top table of choices. Perfectly battered fish (perhaps my only gripe here is that the standard size looked a little small), with perfect chips (again, my only gripe would be that the portions were a little small). The old fashioned booths were great to sit in and the staff and customer service was really top notch. We dealt with a number of servers and they were all bang on! Highly recommended place.
